Got multiple quotes from ADT, Protectron(who it turns out is now ADT) and Prism. The salesman who came round was helpful knowledgable, and set up a system that we are very pleased with. I asked about the other two reviews on here, and it was pointed out that the previous review about M6 is a company that they used to work with but do no longer due to similar issues. Give them a try!

Don’t do business with Prism Security Systems. They promise the moon and deliver nothing. When we had them install a security system they promised us a free move(because we knew we would not be living in the same place for 5 years and it was a 5 year contract). 2.5 years in we decided to move and they did not honour this promise. They said they sold our contract and we are at the mercy of the contract holder which is M6 security who will not honour that agreement either.

I called this company after seeing a craigslist post about antenna installation. Unfortunately, I’ve found that no licensed companies install over-the-air(OTA) rooftop antennas for free high definition digital television(HDDTV) in Metro Vancouver /Lower Mainland /YVR, other than Prism. Their offer isn’t cheap at $ 500. Prism Systems’ craigslist ad states, «Looking to cut that cable bill? Tired of dealing with the big cable companies? Want to save money on local programming?» The gentleman who provided a quote was only worried about upselling. It got annoying that he was pimping nimbleTV, security systems, and home automation. Mind you, these all come with subscription fees, which obviously someone slapping a TV antenna up is trying to avoid in the first place. The sales guy /manager also stated that they are so busy that they’d only be able to prioritize an antenna install if I got multiple products from them. Oh, the icing on the cake was that he stated you could receive Seattle OTA broadcasts in YVR. At this point, I knew he was either full of it or he didn’t know what he was talking about. Reference Digital Home Canada’s reception section to learn more. Listen, get another sucker to add fifty more subscriptions to their household budget.
