Bummed that I have to change my review, as I’ve been coming here for years and there are some really fabulous ladies working here. But my most recent few visits have been a disappointment. I get threading on my chin, sides, upper lip and eyebrows, which I’ve been doing for years. The last time I came in, the lady asked if I wanted full face, I said no because I don’t need my cheeks or forehead done. She then left a large swath of peach fuzz between the sides of my face and the chin/​upper lip area. As I said I’ve been coming here for years and NEVER had them leave hair like this. Like she was pushing me to buy full face and this was my punishment for resisting? I know I’ve had this lady before because she told me I needed a facial. Last time she told me I needed a facial I had to laugh because I had had one literally two days before. She’s just trying to make me buy things. Anyways the time before this, the girl I got did not do a thorough job and left lots of hair on my face. I usually have to get threading only every 6 weeks or so, and this place has done a fabulous job until lately. Now it looked like I need to go back within two weeks. For $ 40 I won’t be returning when I can get threading in Edmonds for $ 12.

This salons pricing is misleading. Today was my first day there and the employee knew this. The sign out front states $ 7.95 eyebrow threading. Only after I had my eyebrows and upper lip done was the pricing explained. It is $ 14.95 per area for people without a membership and $ 7.95 for those who wish to hand over $ 20 for a membership. Since when do we need a membership to have these services done? They lost me and my daughter and friends as customers. There are other salons out there who not doing this cash grab!

I like this place for eyebrows, I think everything else is a little more expensive, however, it is the location that sometimes drives the prices. You won’t see better prices at a clean, professional salon anywhere else.

On March 7 around 5:30 pm I had my eyebrows threaded and upper lip waxed at Paris Studios on the recommendation of a family friend. The service was good, about the same as every other time I’ve been threaded (religiously every 2 weeks for the past 5 years). The lady who performed the service was quick and friendly. Outside of their store there is a sign which advertises $ 7.95 for threading and in very small print below it also says «Members Only». I was not informed PRIOR to my service that there was a membership FEE and that the advertised price for the services would not apply. The deceit used caused me to pay $ 28 + $ 4 tip for the service that I have never paid more than $ 10 for INCLUDING tip for BOTH eyebrows and upper lip. I am currently finishing my Bachelor’s of Business Administration and have taken both Business Law as well as Ethics classes. This is one of the most deceitful things I have encountered and find it despicable the poor business practices here. It is partially my fault for not asking how to become a member first but performing a service that market value is not over $ 10 in Vancouver and charging someone $ 28 + tip is absurd. I will never be returning to Paris Studios and will be letting everyone in my network know of the fallacies that are exemplified by Paris Studios.
