Very nice environment. Have been there several times. I like the pork chop with rice.

This place surprised me with how good it is! I’m a big phở fan and this is actually a top contender for my top favourite. Nice and clean, and friendly service from the young man that’s always serving there. Portions and price point are excellent. The pieces of beef in the phở are the juiciest I’ve had. The chicken wings are not too salty, which I personally like, and are also meatier than the average wings you get. Mango smoothie had real mango pieces in it!!! Love. Oh, and this is the only place in town to offer ham wrapped in pepper leaves — A new experience for me and I’d recommend you try it. Glad to have this in the neighbourhood :)

Best Viet food I have had in a long time, and I’ve done my rounds on both the east and west coast of Canada and the USA. Big portions, friendly and very polite staff and the place itself is well designed. The food is amazing, 10⁄10 for both flavour and presentation. Nice large portions of food and the Phở is glorious. Each main is about $ 8-$ 9 and you can easily have a dinner for two and barely spend $ 20. If you are looking for a nice chill place to have dinner, or want a delivery of Phở like grandma used to make, than this is the place

Nice, small authentic Vietnamese place. Overall, good, tasty food. I’d say the chicken wings were the least flavourful. $ 8 Lunch special is worth it!

Great soup, nice service and clean/polished décor. Good for a cheap date night or if you’re hungry and just want a decent meal near Metrotown.

4 for the décor/atmosphere, compared to the craphole pizza joint that was here before. Nicely done. Ordered the Special phở, a bit on the smaller side, but above average. What will bring me back is that it’s a clean, modern place, with better clientele across from Metrotown, if that matters to you. What stood out is the dessert, a different version of deep fried banana but instead of ice cream, a sweet milk of some sort spread on top. Pretty chewy & yummy, like an elongated hash brown lol. Will order this again if you’ve got a sweet tooth. Good service, better after the lunch rush as it’s a one-man, one-woman show; the chef even brings out the food when it’s ready. Clean washrooms. credit debit ok. Delivery available thru a 3rd party service.

Impromptu late dinner-snack and we ended up at Miss Saigon. Because on that block of Kingsway on a Tuesday, it was the only game in town for eats. Anyway, even without Miss Saigon’s grand opening special discount, portion for price is good(always worth bonus points). It’s a bright, clean, place with friendly service. Green Papaya Salad($ 6.75) green papaya, herbs, home made beef jerky, and sweet soy sauce –The mysterious«herbs» look like caramelized spring onion, cilantro, and peanuts. –Overall sort of almost bland tasting except for the brilliant use of beef jerky, which was tasty and sweet. They oughta make a bánh mì out of that jerky. –Use the provided sweet soy sauce, but not too much. Maybe 1 – 2 tablespoons max.

Wasn’t sure what to expect. Owner operated by a lovely genuine man. Phở and spring roll lunch special $ 7.75 I asked for the broth to be super hot… and super hot it was :) noodles good/broth good… a little too flavorful… I thought for sure msg …3 hours has pasted and I’m not thirsty. So far so good. Lots of meat compared to other places. Wasn’t the best definitely wasn’t the worst… above average… walked out having my phở needs met. Still not thirsty… a good sign… a very good sign indeed :) Pork chop with salad roll and papaya salad lunch special $ 7.75 Pork was good full of flavor and cooked right.(Not dry). Salad roll good. Papaya Salad fresh but the flavor wasn’t quite right, needs more of a bite… more lime/fish sauce/chili Spring rolls Ok below average, I’m just not fond of the Chinese wrappers… I personally like the traditional rice wrappers when deep fried. I should have told him… if he would change the wrappers and add more mushroom ears and other stuff he could be famous in the area for spring rolls… I will tell him next time. You can tell I sincerely want him to do well :) Vietnamese coffee cold $ 3.90 I don’t drink a lot of coffee maybe 3 – 5 times a year. I love Vietnamese coffee and they do it right here. My first sip was Yum. I said to my daughter I prefer this coffee over any other coffee including anything offered at Starbucks. We went at 2:30 and there was 3 tables taken and by 3:00 the restaurant was full. I was surprised being it was my first time there. Definite value for the lunch specials… and the regular menu seem decent as well. Service is top notch, the owner makes real effort to make sure your taken care of and that your happy… I appreciate good service. I felt bad for him, he was so busy being the only one in front. He had no time to clear tables. For the first time in my life we helped him clear tables. Then another customer joined us… kindness is contagious:) Would I go back again… YES and so should you;) 5 stars because I like him and what he and his business stands for and even though I had some issues(because I’m very picky about my food) the overall experience is a 5 out of 5. Support your local owner operated business and tip well, they deserve it :)

Came for a work lunch. Service was okay, nothing bad and nothing special. Menu is simple and looks to be average pricing all throughout. Got the lunch combo #2(phở with spring roll): Phở is lacking in the flavour department and served lukewarm at best, spring roll was served a little bit hotter than warm. Portions are small, maybe 30% smaller than you would find at other restaurants. Food arrived at different times which resulted in some people finishing before others event got their food. Was okay. You’ll get a reasonable meal ordered and finished in a reasonable 45 minute lunch from entering to exiting. Came in with a craving for Vietnamese food(which is to say that my standards weren’t as high as usual) and wouldn’t give it more than two stars. No major issues, but nothing stood out.

I was a bit hesitate to. come in. because I dont see many people inside. But it turns out great. The owner/staff is very very nice. And it’s really clean. New décor. Will come back. The owner sounds like Vietnam people. Got noodle soup. The portion is really large, soup base is fine, not salty.

I’m impressed by this place by cleanness and fast service. Their noodle comes in one size, whereas other restos offer small and large size. I would’ve liked it if they had both small and large. Anyways the food is good. I tried #27 Bun Bo Hue($ 8.50) which came in clean broth with meat toppings. I loved how soup wasn’t oily, but didn’t taste spicy at all. I mixed more chilli oil in my soup which made it better. Plus it wasn’t salty so that’s good. Food was delicious and filling and I’ll definetely go back.

Came in for a second time. Got their cold cut banh mi for takeout. While I was waiting, the lady offered me some hot tea which I thought was pretty nice. I don’t see this often, perhaps also because I rarely order takeout. The banh mi was still a bit warm when I got to it. The baguette was crispy on the outside and still had a bit of a fluff on the inside. Looking back at the picture, the filling looks a bit lopsided but while I was eating it, it certainly didn’t feel so. I had equal amount of coldcut, pâté and the pickled veggies. They gave me two slices of jalapeño which was enough to give my banh mi the kick it needed. There were cilantro, however it didn’t give the pungent fragrance I normally would get from them. I wonder why. All in all, their sub is pretty good. I prefer this over the one I got at banh mi saigon.
