I honestly don’t understand the reviews on this place. I just got the southwest bowl — I’m not a picky eater but I can easily say it was one of the grossest things I’ve ever had. Lukewarm rice on the bottom that hardened and couldn’t be chewed, the«avocado» was about cubed like the picture, was like a green smear from a can. The chicken tasted like spam. I apologize to my tastebuds

I must say after going to Cultures for 3 years solid with my friends I took a 2 year break. Yesterday I went back since I was at the mall and hungry for the first time in ages only to find the salad amount given has shrunk in half. However it still cost the same and the patato salad is great so 3⁄5 if they increased portion sizes they would be a Solid 4 as they are in a food court

I only ordered the daily soup(vegetable florentine) because I was looking for something vegetarian to eat for lunch at the food court in Metrotown. It was very expensive — a little over three dollars for a meager 250 ml bowl. The lady informed me that the soup had beans in it — but that was not true. Those little round yellow«beans» were in fact orzo like pasta. That was disappointing because I am sensitive to wheat. I wished that the workers there knew what ingredients were in their products: I had also asked whether or not the soup contained other ingredients I had been trying to avoid, and the lady told me(honestly) that the food came packaged and she didn’t know what was in them. Although some of the menu items seem to be vegetarian friendly, they are not for those on a strict vegetarian diet. The reason being that they use the same salad bowl to mix the salad ingredients, so cross contamination may occur.

I’ll start by saying that no food court restaurant in metrotown comes off as an overly cleanly one, nor do any of them really appeal to me but for some reason cultures always has. I’ve always enjoyed them as a healthier option and the selection they offer has been decent over the years. I’ve gotten their wrap combo with 2 sides for $ 8 many times and have been satisfied each time. It seems like the concept has changed a bit because you can now choose from about 8 sauces and 10 veggies to add just like subway which is great. For a foodcourt restaurant Cultures gets an approval from me.

I was in Metrotown and really craving some salad(which rarely happens haha.) The only reputable salad place in the foodcourt seemed to be Cultures, so I decided to give it a go! I tried out two of their salads, their cucumber one, and a califlower one. They were both okay, nothing special, but not particuarly bad either. The portion size was quite small for $ 7. Even though it wasn’t that great, it sure beats fast food, thats for sure haha!

If you want to have a healthy dinner at the food court of metrotown, Cutlures Restaurant is a very good option. They have plenty of fresh salad, Quiches and Lasagnas. They offer a good selection of fresh smoothies and bubble teas. I took their mangoes salad which was absolutely delicious as well as their beetroots salad accompanied of fish which was delicious. The price is the one you expect at a food court. However the service isn’t the best ever, and be ready to not get the most friendly face in front of you. Not a bad place for a food court. Elles sont tres bonne, c’est petites mangues !!

I like this salad place in the Metrotown food court. If I’m eating in this mall, this is always my first choice. As we all know, it’s more expensive to eat healthy(but heck, salad is like the cheapest/easiest thing to make! /rant). I usually get the 3-salad meal, which is around $ 7-ish. That’s enough food for lunch AND an afternoon snack. So overall, decent bang for the buck. Salads I really enjoy are mango, couscous, tomato pasta, and the vinaigrette one w/cauliflower. Their sandwiches are also not bad — the pesto chicken is actually quite yum. The employees/management working there don’t seem too happy though. But this is just a food court, I only care about how fast I’m getting the food and how it tastes.

This food court stall in Metrotown has all sorts of salads, sandwiches and soups which are all fine. I especially like the Apple Poppy Seed salad and the Mango salad. One warning though: DONOTORDERTHEIRBUBBLETEA. I’ve tried on 3 separate occasions with them, and each time the pearls are not made correctly and are in one huge mass in the bottom of the cup. I would want a refund except for the large ‘NOREFUNDS/NO EXCHANGES’ sign right in front of the till. It’s a shame, otherwise they have potential to be fairly good.
