Two stars instead of one because I have bought before without any problems. Today, I wanted to purchase ballet flats, Cobb Hill(Emma). Price looked good, colour looked good, my possible sizes in stock, Victoria Day sale in effect. I own several pairs of Cobb Hill shoes because they suit people who need custom orthotics. Sales reps at Ronsons Metrotown and A Step Ahead have pulled out the insoles out of Cobb Hill shoes themselves so I could try them with mine on, saying that these ones pop in and out, so I figured I could do this. I did this to the right shoe and walked around. Not bad. Then the sales rep today stopped me as I was about to do it to the left shoe, saying customers don’t like to have the insole pulled out before they’re sold. Unfortunately, putting in an insole over top the existing insole cannot determine fit, as this would just make my foot squish up against the top of the shoe. As my feet are slightly different sizes, I need to try both shoes. Had the left shoe fit, I would have bought. Just letting you know.

I wear a size 10 and have a bunion, so I have to wear sensible shoes. I have been to this store several times, only to be told they’re «out of stock» in the shoe I’m interested in. Today, a staff member told me that they don’t stock anything larger than a ladies size 8 «because our customers are all Asian». I find this very frustrating, because there is so little available that I can wear with my bunion. This store stocks brands known for comfort, but they don’t stock sizes that fit the average woman. I’m very disappointed. Even my 12 year old daughter couldn’t shop there. I guess I will have to keep shopping at Ronsons, even though the selection is more limited, but at least they carry my size. With feet like mine, online shoe shopping is next to impossible.

Make sure you have a knowledgeable salesperson help you. I bought a pair of shoes and asked the salesperson to recommend a cream to maintain the shoes. I was given the wrong product and it was admitted me as such when i went back a few days later after trying the cream. I was refused a refund or credit on a $ 6 cream after spending $ 160 on the shoe. This completely ruined an otherwise pleasant shopping experience. I won’t be going back.
