Judging by the previous reviews there have been some changes in the last few months. This was out first visit and we enjoyed the dinner. The clam chowder was very good and tasty, good sized portion and lots of clams. The restaurant was quite full but there was no problem with service. My wife and I had the leaf salad for starters and it was delicious. I had the grilled salmon as a main course and it was well prepared and tasty. My wife had the trout and enjoyed it. Portions were reasonable and there was a good choice of reasonably priced wine by the glass or bottle. Suggested pairings were quite helpful. Service was attentive and friendly. The desert menu is very limited. This is a relatively new restaurant(coming up to its first year) but it seems to be gaining popularity. We will go back.

Very very slow service. They’ve been open for a few months but still seemed very disorganized — seemed like a few people were doing everything(the waiter also did the cooking — I personally don’t like when this happens). Food was good when it arrived, through the portion size was on the small side

Oh dear… I bought 2 Groupons for 4 orders of fish and chips and we used the first one this past Sunday. We took our 4 kids(6 people total) and called hours ahead for a reservation. The Groupon claims a value of $ 72 for the four orders of fish and chips, but on arrival the only option allowed is cod, which is listed at $ 8.99. So my math says the Groupon is actually worth $ 35.96 or $ 0.96 more than I paid for it. I take issue with being lied to by businesses. Quick summary: over 1 hour from ordering to receiving our meals. Two tables that arrived after us were served food before us. The chef decided we were all getting halibut when 2 of us had ordered cod. The portions were kiddie meal sized that left my husband, myself and two of our kids still hungry when we were done. We ordered dessert and were told that had… none. Note to the restaurant: If you’ve invested your money in a business and want it to succeed, why are you deliberately driving away customers? Phony pricing, tiny portions, shoddy service… The food was fine, but waiting an hour for a measly serving of food I didn’t order? You’ve got to be kidding me. BTW — your coleslaw is really good. Perhaps giving customers more than 2 tablespoons of it would help? Not looking forward to using the other Groupon voucher. I think my husband and I will go alone so we get two portions each because at least they have cheap booze…
