I love me some wine. So imagine my delight when Groupon offered a 30-bottle wine package at Vin Bön for cheapy cheapy. My fiancée and I snapped it up, correctly assuming that wine would make an awesome wedding favour. The Groupon was good for any VB location and while we typically use the Mississauga location(which, for the record, is totally awesome), logistics made the Brampton shop a better choice. Bad move. I’m pretty sure the manager saw our business as a huge inconvenience in his otherwise empty store. Poor fellow; we even did him the disservice of buying an additional $ 100 worth of his products. For shame! Dude was pretty annoyed that we were there giving him business and all, feeding his family and sending his kiddies to college and so on, so we finished up our bottling as quick as possible and got the hell out of Dodge. Who knows? Maybe he had a sweet game of WoW on pause in his office. He seemed pretty preoccupied. No matter, we got the message. The only spark of interest(I use the term generously) was when he inquired if we would like to come back at a later date and buy more wine. My brain hurt for a second, but we smiled a grim smile and pressed on out the door. Now listen here, kids. Vin Bön is a fine franchise. They sell a great product and all my dealings with them except this one have been amazing. Here’s what you do. Get on your horse and ride a little farther afield to the Vin Bön in Mississauga, Toronto, Oakville, or pretty much anywhere else they do business. Leave this clown alone.
