Marble Slab Creamery

Grabbed us some dessert after dinner and I was looking forward to my ice cream sandwich when I got home.
Unfortunately, the cookie part of it wasn’t the greatest. Cookies seemed a bit stale as it was very hard to bite into. I’m sure they probably have to use frozen cookies but I would have given a higher rating if the cookies were better.
Ice cream is delicious as usual… maybe I’ll just stick to the waffle cones and ice cream for future visits
The lady working tonight was very pleasant for it being close to closing time lol.

The ice cream at this place is great, just like all the other locations I have tried. However, the two girls working here today (one older and one younger woman) were very rude and not friendly at all, and were rushing us to order even though we were the only ones in the store. The older woman cashing us out tried to change her tone once she realized she was giving us attitude for no reason since we were acting so kind to her and smiling — but I guess it was hard for her to hide her bitchiness. I also think they give smaller portions here than at other locations.

Been curious about this place for awhile so I decided to go check it out today. Staff was friendly and helpful but it just seemed so chaotic with how many workers they had behind the counter and the set up of their line. I ordered cheesecake ice cream in a cup and had a few toppings such as sKor, brownie chunks and chocolate chips. The ice cream didn’t taste like cheesecake at all and was overly sweet that when I added toppings it just tasted wrong. My two kids ordered a kids size in a cup but had to upgrade to a larger size as it was ridiculously small. I really didn’t like seeing my ice cream being thrown down on a counter being mixed either. Just not into that. From now on I’ll stick to my trusted taste worthy Baskin Robins. I also found it very expensive. I can get good quality ice cream at a decent price elsewhere. Just because I didn’t find it great doesn’t mean you won’t. People seem to like this place. You might too.

Since Marble Slab closed down near my area, I was on the hunt for another one nearby. This location is at Trinity Commons off of Hwy 410. I came here after dinner with family and grabbed my cheesecake ice cream concoction of skor, strawberries, fudge, caramel, strawberry sauce… so good! My brother happened to get a cone with vanilla ice cream, he always likes to play it safe and actually regretted getting that after he tried the Cookie Dough Drizzle which his wife happened to get. One of my family friends, came down from MTL, so he has never heard of Marble Slab and grabbed the Rocky Road from the Tasty mixture menu and he loved it! The customer service here is fast but not too friendly, especially coming from the owner or manager who didn’t say «Hi» or even hold a fake smile. Also, I find that the tables need to be cleared and wiped down from all the sticky melting mishaps. Also the napkins need to be more accessible instead of hidden away near the cash register. This place lost 2 stars due to cleanliness and customer service, otherwise I love their ice cream and will still go back for my scoop ;)
