This is the best coffee shop in Banff. Homemade bread, muffins, etc. Excellent expresso. Yes, everyone that works there isn’t cheery, but that is ok.

We were there last Monday 1⁄11 at 8:45AM — women behind the counter were tired and grumpy and unhelpful. If you’re not a morning person, might want to consider another line of work.(It’s your job to smile and be friendly, after all.) Muffin and coffee were okay though, indeed.

I’ve been coming here for the last week, and I am converted. I’m not a professional reviewer, this is my first. I like to give credit where credit is due. The Wild Flour Bakery Café is the best in town, that I’m aware of. Coming from a place of coffee snobs the Wild Flour, is satisfying for a small village. The mood is right, and atmosphere soothing. The coffee is properly done, none of this drip rubbish. So if you’re in Banff, come down and see what it’s all about.

Usually whenever I am in a new city, I go straight to a local coffee shop and relax with the locals. During my walk in downtown Banff, I found Wild Flour Bakery! It really is a cute shop and definitely fits into the happy, comforting vibe of the town. I ordered a regular latte with a ginger muffin to eat inside. The cost was a little more than I expected, but I assumed it was because it was a tourist town. Looking at other Unilocal pictures, I unfortunately did not get any latte art(totally ok) but the latte itself tasted. mediocre. I am not a barista nor can I attest to the intricacies of espresso shots, but I believe the milk was not steamed correctly. My muffin was decent. for me it was not moist enough, the texture was the same on the crust and inside, and at the end of the muffin it felt like I was weighed down by the muffin. On another note, the bathroom was filthy when I entered. It could just be today, and I would like to give the benefit of the doubt since this is my first time.

Cute little place. We only stopped here for coffee but their sandwiches, croissants, donuts and all else looks delicious. Place has a hippie vibe to it. Theres free WiFi at this bakery. Password is written on the chalkboard by entrance.

Great selection of coffee, breakfast foods, and paninis. Perfect for a healthy start to your day for relatively reasonable prices. They sell incredible fresh bread as well, and the quality of the coffee is quite good despite refills coming at a cost. The downsides, the staff is unorganized and the place can get very busy,

Their bread truly is delicious! And their drip coffee was very good as well. Other than that, though, I wasn’t overwhelmed with the desire to eat here again. We got two breakfast sandwiches. We were forced into getting them with bacon because that’s ‘all they had’…even though the bacon is only laid on top of the ‘frittata’(don’t even know how to describe that thing). I guess they keep them preassembled and just press them to order. The tomatoes we paid to add to the sandwich were underripe and pretty tasteless. Also tried the triple chocolate chunk cookie which was, in my opinion, not actually that chocolatey. They also charge for coffee refills, which we aren’t necessarily used to… I don’t know, I feel bad not being in love with the place for some reason because it’s cute and popular. But, eh. I would suggest coming in to buy bread and that’s about it. Oh, also — couldn’t get on their wifi(and do they not know how to change their password?)

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub des öfteren hier und haben geren hier gefrühstückt. Ein netter Platz mit guten Backwaren. Und wie in Kanada üblich free WiFi.

Croissant is AMAZING. I can say it’s one of the top in Canada. Nice and flakey and buttery. Chocolate brownie is also really good and moist. Our drinks were perfect: latte and espresso macchiato For lunch we got a sandwich and a salad to go. Both very fresh and delish!!! The best part is everything is organic :) Came back again for breakfast. Yum!
