Veggie Burger consists of chickpea and sweet potato so delicious!!! Surprisingly good topped with friendly service.

For a place that brags about thier burgers it was far from a great burger. The meat didn’t even fill the bun, the patties at Walmart are thicker. It has a nice atmosphere but falls short on the burgers. It is a small place and hard to fit a seat. Over priced for what you get. I will never return.

Eddie’s is just down a side-street off the main road. On a busy Friday Night in Banff, the place was humming, and as their were only two of us, we were able to get seated right away. I built my own Alberta Grass-Fed Burger with pepper jack cheese and their gluten-free bun. It had that rich flavor you only get from grass-fed. As this was back in May, I had their seasonal cranberry/walnut/goat cheese salad as the gluten-free side option, and it was delicious! It was a great pairing with the burger and a glass of their house red. The staff was friendly and busy.

All week long I saw the Eddie Burger car driving around town. It’s hard to miss a VW Beetle with a jumbo sized hamburger fastened to its roof. Well, I suppose the advertising worked because I visited Eddies during my last day in town. This place is OK. I guess if you like burgers and want a drink then this is your place. Personally I’m not sure if I would return again. That’s because I didn’t care for how cramped, crowded, and loud the interior was. The place was really jump’n when I visited. For a burger bar the actual bar itself isn’t very large. In fact the whole interior isn’t very large. I imagine that if they doubled their size they would still be very busy. Food was fine. The basic burgers are made of certified angus beef and you can upgrade to grass fed, elk, bison, etc. for a couple bucks more. Service was fine. Though I slightly felt bad for the servers because they seemed really stressed and overwhelmed. Unfortunately that sort of rushed vibe translates to patrons and their dining experience. Yea I get it. It’s a burger bar. Plus alcohol is mixed in the equation. It’s expected to be be loud and hectic. But considering prices weren’t exactly cheap(burger/fries plus a drink can run for $ 27) I guess I expected a slightly better experience. If friends selected this place, sure I’d visit again. But if it were just me I might try another restaurant in town when seeking out a hamburger.

Had the Stampeder. Quite a good burger. Lots of options, fries were good as well. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. Waiting staff was also excellent — very friendly and recommended us some places to visit while we were travelling through.

A little expensive, but both my girlfriend and I agreed it was the best restaurant style cheeseburger we’ve ever had in our lives. I had sweet potato fries with a grass fed beef burger on a gluten free bun. Giving up gluten resulted in me giving up the number one love of my life(cheeseburgers). When I walked by, looked at the menu, and saw gluten free buns available, I almost shit myself. It ended up being one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.

I tried their elk burger, added the ingredients I wanted. Fresh bun, fries were perfect and sauces are awesome. If you are okay with buying a 20+ $ burger, I recommend it m. One thing, they should be bigger for their price.

Awesome atmosphere and food. We arrived here on Wednesday night and found free parking up to two hours on the street. We sat at the bar and were served right away. The staff was friendly and helpful. Luckily Wednesday night was 50 cent wings. I ordered the pepper lemon and hells honey. The pepper lemon tasted like a fantastic potato chip and the hella honey was mouth watering delicious. I was licking my fingers after every bite. My sister ordered the bison burger which was a little pricey and the size was ok, but still was delicious. We also ordered ice water — which is flavored vodka and was $ 9. It was also very tasty. A man ordered a round on him as he left too which was super nice! My last drink was the birthday cake milkshake which tasted just like cake. Overall great place to eat for a quick bite.

If you’re a burger lover this place is a must go while in Banff. Cozy and casual atmosphere. Great selection of beers, milkshakes(alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and of course their burgers and sides! It’s a little on the expensive side for a burger place, but we enjoyed our food. My boyfriend’s burger had a chicken wing on top!

Their milkshakes are amazing(with or without alcohol)! Their burgers varied in quality amongst our group. My veggie burger was great; I got it with a fried egg, sauteed mushrooms, tomatoes, pesto(sooo good! Definitely recommend the pesto), and roasted garlic aioli on a brioche bun with side of onion rings. The onions rings are super giant and pretty good, although a bit heavy with the batter. Other sides we tried were the poutine, which was way too salty for my liking, and the sweet potato fries that were just so-so. With respect to service, one of my friend asked for her burger without cheese but they put it in anyway. They did offer her a 25% discount but still not the best experience for her. Overall, it was a satisfying meal that we all inhaled after a whole day of skiing but quality of food was a bit spotty and the experience might have been worse if we weren’t ravenous.

It’s a typical little bar type place. Cozy and casual for a drink with friends. Clean and decently spaced. Food: The menu consisted of burgers, wings, poutine bar, and other usual bar style side options(fries, deep fried pickles, onion rings). We tried the Eddie Mac Burger, a side poutine — added montreal smoked meat on top, Apple Butter BBQ wings and onion rings. The food was fresh, nicely plated and very tasty. The burger was cooked to the perfect medium well and the toppings weren’t overly done. The poutine was delicious and adding the montreal smoked meat on top made it tastier. I only wished that the pieces of meat were bigger or more was added. The wings were perfectly fried and covered in just enough sauce. They were generous with the amount as we counted at least 10 big wings(ordered 1lb). It also came with a side of creamy dill dipping sauce which we loved so much, we were using it to dip our onion rings in. The onion rings were large with thick slices of onion and the perfect amount of batter. Nothing was overly oily either. Service: Excellent! The waitresses were kind, quick to seat us and take our order. The food also came out quite quickly. My favourite part of the service was the attentiveness and speed of the waitresses refilling my drink. Before I even noticed I was on the last sip of my coke, the waitress would come over and ask if I wanted a top off. They consistently did this the entire stay and I was never without a drink — I drank more coke than any one person should drink in one sitting… That’s what I call great service! I’d recommend this place for good burgers and bar eats. The place was quite packed with drinkers as well so it’s safe to say they serve well as a bar hangout too.

We came to Eddies after a long day of hiking feeling like we deserved a big as burger. The place was packed but we were lucky and got a take straight away. We had hoped for a really nice juicy burger but unfortunately got one with a thin pattie that was burned and cooked to death. The flavour of the other toppings was good, although I would have liked me sauce on my burger. The fries and house salad as sides were also not more than OK. The waitress was very nice though.

It’s really good — well seasoned alberta beef on a soft bun. I happened to get in on a day when it was a special on the Eddie single with poutine for significantly cheaper than the other menu options so I gave it a shot. Crisp bacon(2 slices!) and fresh produce with salty flavorful beef are great. Poutine here is done really well — nice cheese curds, rich gravy and some quality fries. My wife got the bison burger and its a bit gamier and tougher but still tastes good. the sweet potato fries are delish.

Oh Alberta, did you just put a chicken wing on my bloody caesar? Pretty strong move. I popped into this burger, malt and booze shoppe before an afternoon of fun with my darling and my BFF, so I was in a pretty terrific mood. These ooey gooey snacks elevated it even further. I had the July 1st hot dog, poutine and a caesar. I finished about ¼ of it, but I’m still happy I ordered it all. Excellent poutine. Crispy, runny and squeaky, just like a Quebec diner. The only con about this place are it can really add up if you’re drinking. Even though you’re getting burgers in a very casual atmosphere, know that three people with drinks will run you almost $ 100.

I have heard this place is «hit and miss» and I can see why. My «Eddie Mac» was really bland and greasy, with a few sparse pieces of bacon and undercooked onions. The onion rings on the side were ok, but the salad was pretty ridiculous, featuring wilted and tasteless iceberg lettuce and mediocre dressing. All this for $ 17, really? Way too expensive for what it is. end the madness, please! A burger like that cannot possibly demand more than $ 13 – 14. Service was reasonable, and I don’t mind the intimate packed-in atmosphere. You’ll get to know your neighbours. Still, there’s better places to get a burger.

Fun lively place. Recommend their drink«the trash can» a blue-ish drink full of red bull and other deliciousness. Apologies, had mistakenly posted a review for another venue on here. Our service was great!

Now this review might be a little hazy while I to remember all of the night. Headed up to Eddies late around 2 ish still packed. Ordered a couple of single burgers. Came through about 20 min later. Were quite nice albeit a bit extra charred. Fries were just decent. Ambiance was interesting an expected for such a joint at that time of the night! Fun place!

I often still go to Eddie Burger, but where it was once for the intense burger-gasm I got from them, now, It’s usually for a quick Trash Can*(see below) before getting my party on. Why just a drink? The drinks are consistent.(consistently powerful.) The burgers, however, to throw a couple cliches your way have been«Hit and Miss» or «Take it or Leave it». Eddie Burger has really big shoes to fill if for no other reason than I want them to be the best. When I’m in town after a day of riding, I’m looking to treat myself, and for me, kicking back with a craft beer and the burger of my dreams would be the perfect end to a perfect pow day. Hell, even a crappy, rocky, ice day where I rip the edge right out of my gorgeous new GNU(that was a sad day) could be turned around with the right slab of ground chuck. But when I go in with fond memories of my first Eddie Burger and wind up with a small dry, meatball-esque patty, I’m confused and disappointed like Cindy Lou Who seeing Santy Claus steal her Christmas tree. I ate here a 3rd time with a similar experience as the 2nd. Now I tend to find food elsewhere but stop in for I hope it’s not just a sad truth that all tourists want for beer is run of the mill Labatt products. But, for a hip burger joint in the mountains, I wish the beer selection extended outside of the usual big brand suspects. I think people come to Banff to see a place that is uniquely Canadian. Alberta has some incredible features like the mountains, but both our beef and our beer is pretty damn world class. Eddie Burger could be the perfect venue to showcase both these things. *Trash Can — Holy @#*& these cocktails are a good time. Vodka, gin, rum, triple sec, and the blue liquor no one can ever pronounce.(Car-a-sow? Cur-ock-o?) Oh Yah, then a FULLREDBULL crushed upside down and left floating in it. Let the games begin! If you want to avoid the sugar(and hopefully some of the hangover) but still want a ballin’ drink, get an Eddie Icewater. It’s the ultimate vodka water, with flavour infused vodkas, gin, soda, a splash of 7-up(sprite maybe, whatever) and some fresh citrus fruits. See? Just what your body needs after a day of mountain adventure. :)
