This place has been my family’s go to Indian food for the last I can’t even remember years. Their curry chicken is absolutely amazing and their butter chicken is really good too.

It seemed as though they didn’t want my partner and I to dine in, so we just ordered to go. The food was pretty good. Very large portion! Surprisingly large amount. I ate it for dinner and breakfast.

It’s ok. Not the best in town. Not even close. The aloo gobi tasted old. Bharta was acidic. There’s definitely better in town for the price.

The chicken vindaloo is off the charts good. Not much for décor or atmosphere(use another washroom before you get there) but the service is good and the food is great. Our new favorite Indian food in Abbotsford. They also have a counter where you can buy your own prepared Butter Chicken or other dishes to take home and bake or BBQ.

Reading reviews on this place I had high expectations on the food, not the décor, just the food. We ordered takeout for the first time from here and it will most definitely be our last time. We were so very disappointed, it was downright disgusting. First of all it was cold, not even warm enough for a small child to eat, we had to heat everything up once we got home, only a few minutes away. The butter chicken(see pic, the red dish on the left) tasted like hard chunks of processed chicken meat sitting in a can of Campbell’s condensed tomato soup, absolutely no butter chicken flavor, just soup. We also ordered the shahi paneer(see pic, that brownish/greenish/yellowish dish on the right) and as soon as I took the lid off I knew it was all bad. The colour and smell, oh dear I was almost gagging, but I gave it a chance and tried it, heck I even tried 3 bites and by tried I mean choked down 3 bites. I have never seen or tasted shahi paneer that looks, tastes or smells as bad as that. The naans were greasy and thick and chewy and doughy all at once, they did a great job of they’re going for that one-of-kind type naan. On a positive note, the plain basmati rice was good! All in all I will never return to this place nor would I ever recommend it to anybody.

I live in Abbotsford and work out of town, so when I come home, my first stop is usually Mr India. Sometimes my wife will even surprise me and have a to go order waiting for me at home :) By far the best Indian food in the valley, I have tried many. The lunch combo is great as it allows you to pick a couple different items with Naan and rice for a reasonable price. It is not on the menu, you have to ask for it, also they offer two sizes of the combo, lunch and dinner. The atmosphere and décor are pretty much non-existent but I’m there for the food.

Didn’t try their food yet but they’ll be going through some nice renos from the sounds of it. New stylish booths and carpeting, so a bit higher end. Already nice wall paint and ceiling, so should be good for the locals here. Seems to specialize in takeout as they have their own counter for this, and reasonable prices. lots of parking in this mall. Looking forward to returning.

I’ll start by saying friends of mine pick up marinated tandoori chicken from the meat section of Mr. India to BBQ all the time and I’ve been consistently impressed with the flavours and quality of those meats. It wasn’t until recently though that I found out they have a cozy restaurant space in the rear of the shop. The service is friendly and the prices are a good value for the dollar. As for flavours, the chicken curry and chicken vindaloo both have pleasant amounts of heat and great flavours. This spot is well worth both first and return visits.

I’ll preface by saying I’ve only visited for the restaurant portion. It looks tiny from the outside — we even walked past the door the first time we came. The tiny storefront expands out back into a casual dining area. We took ours to go. Prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes you get. For two of us, our order came to 25 bucks with taxes, and we had plenty of leftover for the next day. They will customize the spice level, and kick it up for any heat seekers like me. Very authentic flavors and the garlic naan was top shelf. The butter chicken was as good as any I’ve ever had, but bonus points because they made it extra spicy for me :) The menu is pretty focused, but what they do, they do very well. Two sauce covered thumbs up from this guy.
