J’adore les restaurants mexicains. C’est tout le temps coloré, il y a toujours une bonne ambiance et c’est souvent très bon! El Sombrero né déroge pas à la règle!
On a reçu des Tacos gratuits dés notre arrivé. Chouette! (Attention à la sauce, elle arrache!). Fan des margarita, faites vous plaisir, mexicain oblige, c’est un des cocktails mis en avant!
Pour le repas, vous aurez l’embarras du choix (trop même). Pour moi ce fut enchiladas au chorizo: dé-​li-​cieux! Comme toujours avec les mexicain, un mélange de saveurs picantes, douce, sucrée… J’adore! Tous les autres convives étaient également ravis!
Bref, vous avez une petite faim à Leuven? El Sombrero est là pour vous!

Very nice, I’m Mexican and the food is good. I recommend pollo en mole. The service is good and they sell the Mexican jarritos (soda). My favorite is tamarind.

Best Mexican in Leuven, wonderful fajita’s and quesadilla, cozy atmosphere. I took my betrothed here on our first date, and everything has been smooth sailing since!

Food — about typical for a «mexican» restaurant in Europe. Looks sort of right, but none of the fillings taste as they should — always too sweet or weird. Bananas and salmon? Where did they come up with this? So lets call this Belg/​Mex food. Margaritas are pretty good, but food is not. Also they really over charged me for water — brought tap water out in glasses — and charge 2 Euro per — thus a 24 euro bill for tap water. I brought this too their attention and they laughed. So the food is not pleasant, its over priced for the quality, I do not recommend.

Best Mexican in Leuven, hands down. Perhaps the best in Belgium. It is not a common cuisine here, but this place does it well. It’s still pretty generic and «Tex-​Mex» really but it’s fresh, well-​prepared and tasty. Definitely make a reservation, though — you won’t get in without it.
