This is one of many waffle stands lining the corridor that leads right down the street to the Manneken Pis. Obviously we couldn’t come to Belgium without trying a waffle. They made them fresh and hot. I got a waffle with caramel and Nutella and whipped cream. The whipped cream tasted like they whip it from hand and then pipe it onto the waffles, but I may be wrong. The waffle though was warm and not super oily or fried tasting. It was really good. I have to admit though that the whole ordeal with the caramel and Nutella and whipped topping was just too much for me. It was super sugary and I probably shouldn’t have tried to wash it down with a cherry Pepsi. Anyway, it was still well worth the 3 euros I paid. The girl at the window was also very nice and managed to figure out what we were wanting even though she tried French and Dutch on us and we responded with a mix of French and English. Way to showcase the waffles of Belgium though!
