Pfannkuchen waren sehr lecker. Salat mot Ziegenkäse ebenfalls. Relativ hohe Preise. Sehr schönes Ambiente!

Wonderful dinner, huge portions. I liked what the guy at the next table ordered. Filet mignon with a Flemish sauce, salad, and the ubiquitous fries. So I ordered the same. 22 Euros, plus a glass of wine and water. The kitchen takes care and time in preparation — this is not a quick in and out place. Quiet restaurant about 5 minutes from the het zand square, down a narrow street. The Unilocal map is accurate.

AWFUL! My husband had the mussels for dinner last night and got food poisoning! It completely ruined our trip to Bruges. It’s overpriced as well. Spare yourself!

An amazing meal in a cool ambiance. This is a real Flemish treat. We had the beef and rabbit stews, both quite different and amazing (and huge). Skip the prix fix, this is all you need. Oh yah: All you can eat frites with the stew — amazing.
The beer menu is extensive and comes with instructions for the uninitiated.

The ambiance was lovely. Such a nice place to have a long dinner. The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly.

I am perplexed about giving this restaurant four stars, as the service was terrible and I felt belittled when ordering our wine. However, the food was excellent and we enjoyed the charming little room that we sat in. The owners certainly have bad attitudes towards the customers, they should be so lucky to have their restaurant filled with tourists!

Good but not worth seeking out. Wait staff indifferent. There are better choices in Bruges.

This is our second trip to the Flemish Pot. It’s popular for reason: the food is delicious and authentic Belgian cusine. For dinner, I recommend reservations. We had the Flemish Beef Stew which comes with never-​ending fresh fries.

Very popular and super cute. They really pack you in, so be prepared to be very close to your neighbors. I went with the goulash and it was very tasty, but huge. It would be good for sharing. For one person it would be nice if it were smaller and cheaper. Definitely good, but not amazing.

Looking for a cozy place in Bruges on a chilly winter night… This place caught my eye. Looks like a fairytale outside and inside– cobblestone walls and old wood. Smell of firewood inside. Waiters were completely accommodating to a traveling guy with no date on Valentine’s weekend.
The food is slow cooked by design. But worth the wait! Had the Belgium Beef stew and their recommended ale which was brewed within the Bruges city walls.
Warmed me right up– this cozy little place. Beautiful experience! Would have pod dearly to have my wife with me!

horrible service. drinks took forever to be ordered and brought to the table, and the waiter never looked at us again. we basically had to beg for refills, and he still didn’t bring us anything. instead, he charmed the locals and took his time to help other tables. we were more than polite, so I do not understand why we were so blatantly ignored. this place obviously does not want any tourists, so don’t bother them with your money.

We were recommended by our B&B to come here for dinner for some authentic Belgium food. We were VERY pleased with our experience!!! I ordered the pot roast which was the most delicious I have ever had! I loved that the waitors served the frites from the fryer and asked if you wanted seconds. This is a quant little gem! You should come early or make reservations because this place was packed! Don’t be offput by the commercialization of the business and branding. This had to be the most memorable meal from my trip… but also the most expensive ($ 100 for two people with a beer). Highly recommended if you have the budget!

Go here for the food. The ambiance is okay, and the meals takes about an hour and a half to two hours because they prepare it fresh (and that was over a slow weekday lunch), but if you’ve got time to spare, De Vlaamsche Pot serves incredible Flemish food (stews and meat-​heavy dishes). Of note: this food is very, very heavy, so I’d recommend eating here when you’re able to walk off the extra pounds throughout the day.

La carte des bières est bien sympathique avec des bières de 75cl que l’on né trouve pas partout et au goût vraiment atypique!
Niveau assiette je vous préviens une balade digestive s’imposera par la suite mais c’est vraiment très bon!
Mention spéciale pour le pâte maison et la bisque en entrée!
Le waterzoi, les saucisses de Bruges ou encore le vol au vent sont très réussis!
Pensez à né pas prendre les moules hors saison;)

Wirklich ein schönes, urig eingerichtes kleines Restaurant. Den Tisch für sieben Personen hatten wir am Nachmittag reserviert, sonst hätten wir hier wohl eher keinen Platz mehr bekommen. Wie überall in Brügge ist das Preisniveau auch hier ein wenig höher, aber das Rindersteak für 18 Euro war auch wirklich sehr lecker. Ich habe es mir auch nicht nehmen lassen, das Stoofvlees (im Deutschen glaube ich Karbonade) bei Freunden zu probieren: top! Da weiß ich schon, was ich beim nächsten Mal bestelle!

Terrible service and such a tourist trap. Prices posted outside are significantly lower than what’s on the actual menu. As was mentioned by someone else, you’re not permitted to share dishes which I think is preposterous. Perhaps this USED to be frequented by locals but we certainly didn’t see that and they appear to just be coasting by on former stellar reviews. The waiter was among the rudest I’ve met in my many journeys abroad so we left before dropping any money as there are plenty of other places that serve excellent local cuisine without the attitude.

De Vlaamsche Pot was a great choice and a fantastic restaurant to eat at while in Brugge. We happened on this place as the owner was also renting out our apartment room that we were staying in for the night. (Via AirBnB) The location was only down the street from us.
They offered a small menu of Belgian beers, but in my opinion only enough to cover the basics. The food ordered was also fantastic and expensive. I did not regret pushing myself to eat as much as I did either, as I found that taking out leftovers was not an option. Most people who’ve slammed this restaurant have complained about that, but to me that doesn’t a dealbreaker make.
I could’ve eaten myself through that menu entirely if money was no option too, most things seemed to be good. Judging by the small slice of items our table ordered, it seemed that they had a good quality kitchen, versed in making both sea-​food, and other choice cuts of meat. However the range of food seemed to placed this restaurant in the «gourmet basics» category. However, everything was cooked perfectly and delivered with excellent presentation.
An easy five-​of-​five

Eventhough the location isnt really easy to find as its located at a tiny small side street not far from the Four Seasons, this place is sofar my yummiest find in Brugge.
Nice service (multilingual staffs), lovely flair (pretty architecture too!)and great belgian food (not too pricey). A real good try if you are in Brugge, suits best for dinner.

This was an amazing find! We came here since they serve traditional Flemish dishes and we were excited to have a wonderful meal. Boy, were we not disappointed. The service was very, very good and our meals, mussels and a sausage platter — out of this world good! Not only was the food delicious, but they gave you so much of it; you could easily eat a meal here and not have to eat for the rest of the day. Pair that with super cheap Trappist ales and you have a match made in heaven. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Bruges!

Mostly locals as this is off the beaten path. Huge portions of beef, sausage or fish dishes. Not a huge menu, which was fine with us. Extensive beer selection, excellent service and nicely decorated. Pricey but worth it.

Flemish comfort food. Nothing fancy. The herring was very good. Others commented that the wait was too long. This isn’t fast food. Everything is made to order. We just relaxed, took in the ambiance and ordered another beer. Bruges is lovely city so why complain.

Es ist hier einfach schönuns gefällt es und sind schon mehrmals hier essen gewesen.
Allerdings bestellen wir immer nur das Stoofvlees (Rinderschmorbraten) mit den Fritten. Schmeckt einfach toll!
Der Service ist auch freundlich und nicht aufdringlich.
Es gibt auch eine extra Bierkarte.
Wir finden die Preise angemessen!

Positive Erfahrung haben wir dort dieses Wochenende gemacht. Ordentliches flämisches Essen, immer mit den obligatorischen Fritten na ja. Flotter Service.
Nicht gerade ein Schnaeppchenpreis (ca. 30 EUR fuer ein Menü), aber das gilt für die vielen Touristenfallen in der Stadt noch mehr (die Preise sind ähnlich, Die Qualität ist eher fragwürdig). Das Preisniveau in Brügge ist halt wie es ist.

We had a bad experience here. We had read the portions are large. We asked to share an order but were told «my boss doesn’t like that,» so we ordered 2 orders of the stew and could not even finish half of it. Service was so slow I had to walk into the hallway, confront a waiter, and request food be delivered to our table after waiting 75 minutes for course 2. Some of the meat was so tough it was not edible. We heard it was favored by locals. I think we caught them on a bad night, maybe due to a bus load of tourists? Could not recommend.

Niedliches Lokal inmitten der Altstadt. Sehr ruhig und hübsch. Innen ist es für meinen Geschmack etwas zu vollgestellt und auch der Innenhof ist winzig, aber vorne draußen kann man sehr nett sitzen. Überaus aufmerksame und höfliche Bedienung, wunderbares Essen in großen Portionen und mit für Brügge ausgezeichneten Preisen.
Besonders die Desserts (Waffeln, Pfannkuchen) sind sehr zu empfehlen und gehen locker als eigene Mahlzeit durch. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Located in a side alley — you feel like you are stumbling upon a great Bruges secret — although the local taxi driver totally recommended this place to us.
Thought it was going to be too touristy but not the case. It’s a great find for traditional flemish food. We had the chicken waterzooi and the rabbit stew. Both were amazing and hearty. Almost made you feel it was cooked by your grandma who slaved over the stove all day.
My only gripe was that I felt like I was wasting food as it’s a bit much to eat the whole thing and being a tourist — we couldn’t really take anything back.
The chicken — was a whole roasted chicken and the rabbit almost felt like it was a whole rabbit… for 2 people it probably would have been better if we split an appetizer and one meal.
The still water will run you about 7 euro… just fyi.
But if you are going to eat somewhere slightly touristy — this is the place! Delicious.

Gemütliches und authentisches Ambiente. Reichhaltiges und leckeres Essen aus dem Angebot flämischer Küche zu angemessen Preisen. Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt, was nicht zuletzt an der tollen Atmosphäre und der aufmerksamen Bedienung lag. Wir sind über die qype-​Empfehlungen anderer Nutzer auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden und geben diesen Tipp hiermit gern weiter bzw. können die Empfehlung bestätigen.

ein wirklich süßes lokal in einem kleinen, brügger gässchen.
das essen ist lecker und vorallem reichlich. die pommes sind knusprig, der braten war schön zart, die wurstplatt sehr herzhaft.
das ambiente ist wirklich romantisch und die liebe zu detail nicht zu übersehen. die zwei ruhetage (MO und DI) sollte man nicht unterschätzen, denn ab MI ist hier viel los und eine reservierung lohnt sich!
wie scheinbar überall in brügge ist das essen zwar teuer, aber die portionen sind groß. fair.

Gestern haben wir dieses schnuckelige, klitzekleine Restaurant ausprobiert und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Glücklicher Weise bekamen wir einen Tisch ohne reserviert zu haben. Dafür aber auch nur drinnen, denn draußen waren alle Tische reserviert. Es gibt zwei draußen. Einmal vor dem Restaurant und zweitens noch eine Art Innenhof, den wir bei freier Wahl auch sicher bevorzugt hätten.
Drinnen war es zwar eng, aber sehr urig. Alles in rotweiß gehalten und von rustikalem Chic. Fast hätten wir nicht gewusst wohin mit den Riesen-​Speisekarten auf dem kleinen Tisch, aber der Duft vom Nachbartisch machte es auch schwer, sich unbefangen zu entscheiden. Eine Gruppe holländischer Damen aß einvernehmlich Muscheln und als ich neugierig schaute, wurde mir gleich eine zum Probieren angeboten. Meine Wahl war also gefallen :) Muscheln in Weißwein. Mein Mann entschied sich für das Hühnerfrikassee. Zu beiden Gerichten wurden witziger Weise Pommes gereicht. Aber die waren auch wirklich fantastisch. Nicht aus der Tüte, sondern selbst geschnibbelte Kartoffeln, das sah man ihnen an. Alles war sehr lecker, die Muscheln weich und frisch. Es handelte sich hierbei um eine ehrliche, schnörkellose Küche, die aus wenigen und dafür sehr frisch schmeckenden Zutaten bestand.
Der Service war freundlich und versuchte, alle Sprachen zu sprechen, die ihm abverlangt wurden.
Die Preise waren nicht von schlechten Eltern: Hühnerfrikassee 19, — Muscheln 26, — und Dunkelbier (auch sehr lecker) 0,5l über 5 Euro.
Schon der Anblick des putzigen Häuschens war den Besuch wert. Wirklich etwas Besonderes, die flämische Bauart.
Wenn wir hier wohnen würden, wäre de Vlaamsche Pot bestimmt eines unserer Stammrestaurants :)

Nette Umgebung, leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung. Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit belgischen Spezialitäten. Die Preise sind angemessen. Empfehlenswert!

Wenn man Brügge besucht dann sollte man natürlich auch flämisches Essen probieren.
Wir entschieden uns für einen Besuch bei «De Vlaamsche Pot». Nachdem es am ersten Abend voll war bestellten wir gleich einen Tisch für den 2. Abend.
Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem wunderschön restaurierten alten Haus.
Die Begrüßung war freundlich und wir bekamen einen schönen Tisch zugewiesen.
Zuerst bekamen wir Brot und Butter. Das Brot wird hier rustikal in einer Tüte serviert (siehe Foto).
Wir bestellten einmal Garnaalkroket (Garnelenkroketten) und ein 3-​Gang Menü.
Das Menü beinhaltete Leberpaste mit Preiselbeerkompott und Salat, Stoofvlees (Rindergulasch) und Vanillepudding mit Eierlikör– und Schokoladensoße.
Zu den Gerichten wurden frische Pommes gereicht.
Die Leberpaste war bereits ein guter Start. Sehr gut gewürzt und wirklich lecker.
Der Rindergulasch wird hier mit dunklem belgischen Bier gekocht und war überaus köstlich.
Die Pommes waren knackig und schmackhaft.
Den Nachtisch haben wir kaum noch geschafft, weil die Portionen sehr reichlich waren.
Die Garnelenkroketten kosteten 16,50 Euro.
Das 3-​Gang-​Menü bekamen wir für 28 Euro pro Person.
Das dunkle Grimbergen Bier kostet hier 3,75 Euro.
Cola und Limonade bekommt man für 2,20 Euro.
Der Service war freundlich und schnell. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und es empfiehlt sich beim Besuch am Wochenende einen Tisch zu bestellen.
