Restaurant Momoya

Bastante caro. La comida estaba buena, pero la calidad no es lo que podrías esperar de un sitio elegante y con estos precios.
No aceptan ticket restaurant para cenar, sólo para comer…

Sehr leckere Sushi & schönes Lokal. Ist zentral gelegen und hat Sonntags offen. Super Gästeservice und sehr nett

The food is very tasty and of high quality. We ordered a California Maki. And two main dishes (beef and chicken meegoreng).
The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is not a typical restaurant in Vienna. I feel the staff go out of their way to be nice.
We will probably come back again here another time.

Wir sind in dieses Restaurant Zum Essen an einem Samstagabend eingekehrt. Der erste Eindruck ist gut. Es ist sauber und gemütlich. Die Bedienung ist freundlich.
Wir hatten zu zweit ein Menü am Tepanyaki Tisch bestellt. Dort wird auf einer heißen Platte das Essen frisch vor den Augen zubereitet. Vorweg gibt es eine Suppe, etwa Sushi und Salat. Wir kannten Tepanyaki bereits aus Berlin und waren seitdem Fans dieser Zubereitung und des japanischen Essens. Dementsprechend hatten wir auch eine gewisse Vorstellung, die leider enttäuscht wurde und dem bekannten in keiner Weise entsprach. Der Koch arbeitete lieblos alles ab. Es wurde das Fleisch und sehr wenig Gemüse (Sprossen) gebraten und auf die Teller drapiert. Das wars. Dazu gab es trockenen Reis.
Insgesamt eher enttäuschend, wenn man berücksichtigt, dass man zu zweit inklusive Getränke ca. 100 Euro einplanen muss.

We were looking for a sushi place in Vienna. Walked a few miles to reach this one which has good reviews and I have to say I was disappointed. The fish was not terrible, but it was nothing great either. It tasted like it had been frozen and defrosted by the chef– not like fresh, delicious sushi that I eat at some of the restaurants in my home town. Maybe Vienna isn’t the place for sushi… Or maybe I just didn’t go to the right place!

Great food. But the staff is not attentive and a bit slow. Great variety of alcoholic drinks. And nice ambience.

Ein unglaublich tolles Lokal! Ein Gästeservice aus dem Bilderbuch und die Qualität vom Teppanyaki sucht seines gleichen. Ein Gesamterlebnis zu einem mehr als fairen Preis. Fantastische Weinauswahl!

Very tasty Asian food. Decorated with warm colors. Friendly greeting and service. Very conveniently located near Schottenring. I would definitely recommend their Wok selection. Feels like a family operated business. Very reasonable pricing. Teppanyaki combo menus available as well.
In short, a high quality Japanese/​Asian restaurant…

I am so pleased to say that I have finally found good sushi in Vienna!!!
Located in the first district on Börsegasse, sits the lovely Asian-​fusion restaurant: Momoya.
I first stumbled upon this place when I took a walk around Schottenring and later on decided to eat here after reading positive reviews on Unilocal.
So when I first walked in I was greeted with a smile (a rarity in Viennese restaurants) and shown to the exquisitely designed dining room with dark wooden tables, comfy purple chairs, soft carpet, and modern hanging lamps with dim lighting. Automatically I knew that a lot of effort was put into making this restaurant have a comfortable, relaxing and attractive environment.
The server provides me with a drink menu and a eating menu. When I eat Asian food, I like to have tea with my meal, so I chose their rose tea. When I drank this tea for the first time, I was so charmed by how light and delicate it tasted, and I really dug the teapot and cup as well.
Then I decided to order their Philadelphia Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. I have had not-​so-​great experiences eating sushi here in Vienna, so I was hesitant yet very interested in giving Momoya’s sushi a try. And when I got my sushi — oh my god did it look great and so appetizing. I knew just by looking at it this was going to be great sushi.
When I tried the spicy tuna roll (which was not spicy in my taste) it was like I back in the states eating at one of my favorite sushi restaurants, where their fish is fresh from the sea. It was great but the Philadelphia roll was my favorite: Coated in cream cheese, garnished with salmon on top, with the inside avocado. I was very satisfied with what I got.
But that is not all. When I had the opportunity to come back, I wanted to try their Korean Bulgogi beef dish. This dish has roasted and marinated beef pieces tossed with green and red peppers, broccoli, peas and mushrooms with a small salad on the side. This was a savory delicious dish for me that I do not regret eating. The beef was so tender and tasted so good, I don’t even have the words to describe it at the moment, so maybe in a few weeks I will be able to articulate how that experience was for me, hehe :)
Anyways, I highly recommend Momoya as a restaurant to check out for some great-​quality Japanese/​Asian-​fusion and Sushi food. The servers/​workers are so incredibly nice, which is so refreshing since dealing with grumpy servers in Viennese cafes and restaurants is not so fantastic. If you plan to come here with a lot of friends or co-​workers, they have dining tables with a grill in front, like a Hibachi grill, for the cook to prepare food in front of you in a more intimate and personal setting.

Gutes asiatisches — japanisches Restaurant. Sehr freundliche Atmosphäre. Frisch am Tisch gebratenes surf and turf Abendessen um 100 € zu zweit mit softdrinks ist nicht billig, aber es hat alles gut und frisch geschmeckt. Miso Suppe, 4 Sushi, Garnelen, St. Jacobsmuschel, Lachs, Rindslungenbraten und gebackene Banane sind am Programm.
Für einen gemütlichen Abend absolut empfehlenswert.

In diesem Lokal hat man die Möglichkeit bei der Reservierung, einen Tisch mit Schaugrill zu bestellen. Ab zwei Personen kocht dann der japanische Koch direkt am Tisch Fisch oder Fleisch .Es ist lustig zum zusehen, nur sollte man Bedenken wenn man naher noch ausgehen möchte, das man den Duft der Küche mitnimmt. Die Gerüche von Öl, Fisch und Fleisch nehmen erbarmungslos den Kampf gegen den Duft von Chanel auf und gewinnen auf der ganzen Linie …
Die Preise sind nicht billig, von Euro 25,00 aufwärts .Ich würde sagen einmal probiert und getestet, wird für mich reichen. Jedoch die Qualität war in Ordnung nur die Portionen zu klein.

One of the best asian places I had eat in Vienna.
Always fresh food with really good and nice service, at lunch time between 12 and 14 it’s bit crowdy but still you don’t have to wait more than 15 – 20 minutes to gets your food.
