I am flippin in love with this place! Cheap(compared to Perth prices) and amazing food I had the acai bowl with an awakening smoothie and I was absolutely stuffed and fed for $ 20! Brilliant! My friend had the smashed avo and a vitamin booster(which she said was like a punch in the face!) Both walked away very happy!

My friends have been harping on about Heal. thy Self Co. and checking in left, right and centre. Well, I’m not afraid to jump on a bandwagon and that I did… I thought I’d be trying one of those cafés that offer ‘healthy’(note: healthy but not really) alternatives but I was shocked when I looked at the menu and was presented with *genuine* healthy options. I opted for the smashed avo with a Ruby Red juice(beetroot, carrot, cucumber, orange and ginger) and was so happy when I was presented with an appropriate pile of avocado on delicious bread(that I could actually cut) and a healthy size serving of freshly made juice. A plus! The only down fall is that the space is quite small! Get in early(after your gym session, of course) to avoid the crowds as it’s a first come, first served kind of place and given the huge amount of tasty items on the menu, it’s easy to lose track of time and stay there allllll day long.

A tropical-themed smoothie bar, café, naturopath and massage parlour all rolled into one! Don’t expect any unhealthy options at this place, because it’s all about health, health, health! Organic veggies, paleo cakes and super smoothies. Menu items like avo on toast, or a bowl of granola will set you back less than $ 15, but a smoothie will cost you $ 9. The smoothie blends are rather adventurous, with plenty of out of the ordinary ingredients. I tried the ‘Be Kind’ with berries, banana, lucuma powder, raw wild berry fermented super protein powder, coconut and filtered water. I also tried the ‘Be Passionate’ with passionfruit, mango, orange juice and raw vanilla fermented protein powder. While the smoothies look impressive, don’t be fooled, the protein powder isn’t masked by the fruit! Colours like orange and turquoise brighten the smallish space, and a few decorative pineapples and palm trees will have you craving a beach holiday. Opt to sit outside in the courtyard, because it’s very loud inside with the blenders cranking. New staff in training mean they’re a bit slow and unsure of what ingredients go where, and the menus are a little grubby. Good spot if you’re in the hood and obsessed with super foods!
