Came here for a Sunday lunch with a visitor from overseas on a recommendation and didn’t look at the Unilocal reviews first. Ba-bow… The other folks have pretty much covered it off. Food was average but very overpriced, service was very slow and hard to catch anybody’s attention, and the noise level was astonishing for such a big venue.

Servings of the pappardelle & blue swimmer crab pasta(main size) was ridiculously stingy, and not much of a standout(dill, crème fraîche sauce). Pasta was very nice though. Grilled snapper fillet with sundried tomato pesto crust & tomato & basil tea: the fillet wasn’t seasoned well and the accompanying sauce tasted more like a soup. Had the dessert tasting platter and there was nothing worth specifically commenting on there. Overall quite bland and average dishes and no standouts anywhere. The only great thing about the place is a really open place in a beautiful building that’s right by the water overlooking cockatoo island, so makes for an awesome weekend brunch location with loved ones.

Decidedly ordinary. Had the lamb which wasn’t bad but certainly did not meet expectations for a restaurant of that calibre. Beer selection rubbish. Given a crooked table in the middle of the room when ones near the windows were empty. Different waiter every time, no consistent service. Did not stay for dessert!

went here for breakfast, the only time the prices are somewhat reasonable food — despite the claims of best breakfast awards, the food was very average. an effort to make it look appealing but nothing better than putting diner food in a rectangular plate service — crap, disorganized, waiters were rude, water never came, coffee order was wrong, coffee took 30 min to come, the place wasn’t even full. I know waiters don’t live off tips here, but com’on. atmosphere — if you have one of the few tables outside, with a glimpse of sydney, must be nice. Inside though looks like a boat hanger. It also has an old person home dining room feel to it. All its missing is retirees jostling over first dibs in a buffet line and the picture would be disastrous … luckily, its not that bad value — well, breakfast is the most affordable meal of the day, by far, for 20AUD per person you can have a main and a coffee. For a sit down restaurant with a view, next to sydney, that would be OK, but based on the quality of the food, service and atmosphere, would have been happier with a 7AUD takeaway mc donald’s on the yatch club bench next door looking out directly onto the harbour.
