Unfortunately Euro Café was bought out late last year and the new owner has run it into the ground. Coffee is 1⁄5 Food is passable but gone is all the Greek food made with love, and replaced with cheap ingredients and lack of care. Very big shame. I suggest crossing the road to ‘Yo Gabba’ for a burger or a Japanese chicken curry.

When you find yourself feeling bloated, sweaty and heavy each and everytime you eat at a restaurant, it’s safe to say you’re not going to eat there again. I’m sorry Euro Café but you have bland, uninspiring and frankly boring meals that are well matched with the cheaply furnished premises. Service has never been a problem — each of the staff have consistently treated me like a relative, and always have gone above and beyond when it comes to customer service. It’s the food that lets this café down. Three strikes, and they’re out I’m afraid.

If you want cheap, quality Greek food this is the place to go. Although it is not technically a Greek restaurant(they market themselves as Mediterranean), the majority of their dishes call the land of the blue and white flag home. On first glance the casual décor would cause you to mistake the place for a cheap eatery that offers few options. However, they have a surprising number of dishes on the menu. For lunch you can get hot dishes such as pasta, souvlaki and roasted meat with vegetables(this description does not do them justice), as well as cold dishes like Greek salad. On Fridays they offer a fish special. They also serve breakfast and although I haven’t tried it myself, the delicious lunch and a glance at the menu have convinced me I must return to do so. My favourite dish is the Haloumi Platter; grilled haloumi, Greek salad, pita bread and tzatziki. It’s absolutely delicious and only $ 9.50. Nothing here will get you into a fret about finances, with all the main meals priced under $ 15. The service is also fantastic; all the staff are incredibly friendly and very attentive. The only negative about the Euro Café is the location. If it were in spot that saw more foot traffic I have no doubt it would be a popular haunt of students and the wary spenders among us.
