As everyone has mentioned the owner is super gracious and welcoming. Surprised this place wasn’t packed considering all the great reviews and nice location. The food is very tasty and well prepared with exceptional service. Definitely coming back to explore the rest of the menu.

The rib-​eye melted in your mouth and the service made you feel at home. The homemade desserts made you wish you had room for another bite. This is a «must do» in Sydney and it is a short walk from downtown.

Excellent service provided by the owner, Tony! We found the quality of the steak and seafood to be unmatched!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and plan on coming back next time we are in Sydney!

One of the best lebanese dining experiences with an exotic twist in Sydney… Tony is a fantastic host, the food is succulent and the atmosphere is heartwarming.

Went here for a late breakfast. For starters, the owner greeted us and was extremely welcoming. He spent time talking with us and going over the menu and recommending several option. We ordered the Salmon Stack special and Veggie Breakfast.
The food is simple but amazingly tasteful and extremely well presented. This place prides itself in good quality products, cooked to perfection and presented with care. The owner checked in a few times and explained a few things about their dishes. It’s clear they take pride in their food; he could tell me where he got everything from and why.
Overall an amazing meal!

Not only do I love the people that run this place, it is by far the best food in the city. They have a great liquor selection, their coffee is the best in the area. I have never been disappointed and just simply can’t get enough of urbanista!

Went there on a Wednesday morning at around 9am and it was totally empty. We got a table anyway and didn’t regret it.
There was just one guy serving but we had him only for us so that was fine.
The cappuccino was very good. My personal highlight is the veggie breakfast and especially the cooked mushrooms (see photo).
Highly recommended to go there for breakfast if you’re around here.

We decided to check out Urbanista last Tuesday night after seeing some awesome reviews on Unilocal.
Made a reservation, but we definitely didn’t have to. It was 6pm on a Tuesday and we were the only people in the entire restaurant. Unfortunately, this definitely affected my entire experience, as I find it really strange to be the only people dining in a restaurant.
When we walked in, there was a table set up right in the door opening. We asked to move into a corner, which they accommodated immediately.
Overall, the food was great. We had the squid, the salmon, the tzatziki dip and an eggplant special, which was my favourite. We also had a glass of the house wine, which was delicious!
The owner was very nice and there were a few locals who walked by as we were leaving and seemed to know him prettty well. Definitely think this place is worth a visit, just hope they have more people in!

On the final night of our three week trip to NZ/​AUS we wanted to go someplace special. Urbanista was very special! We were there on a quiet night and got special attention from the owner. We chose to have five mezza items for the four of us — all excellent! The grilled calamari was the best we have ever had. We also enjoyed the roasted cauliflower — perfectly done. The rest of the dishes were well balanced, nicely seasoned and beautifully presented. Between the five mezzas and the baba ganoush we had plenty of food. (Because we had to save room for dessert.)
Each of us chose a different dessert item from that nights list. Chocolate mousse, baklava, panna cotta and tiramasu. Again all great choices. The one that stood out the most was the panna cotta — perfectly cooked, with a great sauce and the candied tomatoes were really good. This dish is worth going for, don’t be thrown off by the tomatoes this is a dessert!
I would highly recommend getting away from the tourist areas and into this beautiful neighborhood restaurant.

Absolutely the best char grilled calamari and the salmon was phenomenal. The owner was very nice and hatted with us for a while and gave us recommendations. A must try

Our first night in Australia our entire Tour group went to this restaurant. Very pleasantly surprised at the outstanding food and service. My husband had the porterhouse steak that was cooked perfectly medium rare and I had the Beremunday fish that was delicious. Before dinner a plate of olives, a plate of hummus with pita and an outstanding Cauliflower appetizer were served. We both had desserts one order of chocolate mousse, that was the best I ever tasted and the brownie with ice cream was also very good. What made this restaurant so nice was wonderful owner and his wife who are very much a part of the service. They are very proud of the restaurant and you can feel it throughout the evening. I recommend it highly.

Go here quite often for breakfast. The menu is good without getting too complicated. The portions are great sized, very nice and always consistent. The service is great, the owners are very good hosts.

Been here for breakfast and dinner. They do nothing badly. Food is prepared with love and they really are concerned that their customers enjoy their meals and experience. They even put thought into the music they play. At dinner our entire party appreciated the mix!
All cities need more restaurants like Urbanista.

Great place for breakfast or dinner. In the morning there is great coffee and I loved the porridge. Amazing entrees in the evening and great salmon main. Friendly place and very accomdating. Tony and his wife are gracious and made us feel at home. Our group went multiple times and loved it each time.

Had a wonderful dinner here on our last evening in Sydney. Rack of lamb was perfect. Wife had chicken souvlaki. Both excellent. Tony made us feel welcome and made sure everything was superb. Wish we had gone earlier in our visit so we could go back.

Only open for 4 months now. This place has been a good find.
