Volume Hair

I’ve had three cuts here, and each of them have given a different experience of the place. The best thing going for Volume Hair is its price. $ 29 for everything is a bargain (‘everything’ doesn’t extend to colour, mind you). I get the impression staff turnover is an issue here, and I don’t think I’ve seen the same face twice. You can book an appointment, but you’re lucky if they’re ready for you. When they are, it seems to be hit and miss as to whether you get a great cut with a super-​friendly member of staff (my first experience and what kept me coming back) or somebody who gives you a different colour from that you asked for, and cuts according to their own design rather than the style you requested. You’ll save money here, but be prepared for anything.

Waiting 40 minutes after my appointment before I left. They obviously took in 6 walk ins while I was waiting for my appointment. Won’t ever go back and would not advice anyone to go. Wasted my day now I’m running around try to find a hairdresser open Sunday’s.

I’ve been coming here since they opened in November 2012 and always happy with the end result.
The $ 29 charge for each service is great although be aware they charge you a bit more if you have long hair. They used to quote the total price before they started but not sure they do that anymore or if they know I’m a regular so don’t bother.
Having said that, staff turn over is pretty high — I’ve never had the same person twice so I wonder what goes on behind the scenes!

Great hair cuts at a super cheap price — only $ 29. Was unsure at first when booking, but was really happy with the cut and service. You can pay an extra $ 10 for a quick dry or another $ 29 for a blow wave. Would recommend!
