Melt Pizza Prahran, Melbourne Jun 15, 2014 POSITIVE
Excellent! Had an excellent pizza accompanied with excellent service. Even more amazing was I recognised the owner from a 5 senses course I did. Needless to say, I am glad this venture paid off because our food was absolutely delicious. I did a custom pizza(Margarita+meatballs+capiscum+mushroom) and it was fantastic! Well done Dan and Elise!

The golden rule — one is enough to share between girls! Or eating with your partner share a pizza and get a side. I made the mistake of ordering my own pizza to eat in and I could only finish half(because I had to go out after I couldn’t take the take away box :() if you are getting take away a whole pizza is fine because you can save some for later !. Besides knowing the portions, the pizza taste is great! Tasty and fresh and colourful ! Veggies I recommend you try the roasted pumpkin it’s incredible !(and you can eat it guilt free!)

I will be totally honest here: Melt’s pizza is not the best pizza out there. They do not have different sizes and their pizzas are a bit overpriced. Also, when it comes to pizzas — and especially when I am hungry — I do not like think about toppings. I want my pizza now and I want it quick. But of course, I understand that choices for toppings might work out for some people. I had a Hot Salami pizza here and I must say it was so quickly prepared and cooked, even my stomach did not have any time to whinge. It tasted good too and most importantly it was clean — since I could see the stages of preparation from the beginning ’till the end. I recommend this place not just because the pizzas are healthy and tasty, but also the owners of this place are really good people. They care about you. They really do. Say hi to Dan and Elise while you are waiting for your pizza and embrace the local community.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on Unilocal but had to come back on to write a review of this magnificent restaurant that I’m now a regular at. Basically you build your own pizza by selecting the ingredients(I load up on the ham, salami, prawns and meatballs) and then the pizza is fired up in a 400 degree oven. It’s a thin based, napoli style pizza which means it only takes 2 minutes to cook and it is absolutely delicious! It’s a great concept and I hope to see more stores of this kind as it removes the single biggest frustration I’ve had in ordering pizzas which is the time it takes to cook. I’ve had a fantastic experience every time and it makes me feel like I’m part of the cool crowd when I take friends who haven’t been here before. The staff are very friendly and helpful(although don’t listen to them if they tell you that your pizza has TOO much meat on it; you can never have too much meat). You won’t be disappointed.
