This location seems to be a bit of a graveyard for Thai restaurants, but new ones keep popping up once the old ones disappear, much like Fawkes the phoenix flamed out then reappeared in Dumbledore’s office because what’s a review without a Harry Potter reference? The sandwich board out front with the $ 11.90 lunch special sucked me in with it’s heady promise of a satay chicken entrée, a main and a soft drink because I’m a sucker for a bargain and I also like blackboards, put the two together and whatever you’re left with I’ll pretty much marry. At first I thought the portions were pretty stingy, one chicken skewer but it was spicy and peanuty and delicious, and by the time I was done with the bowl of curry, which was hearty and packed with veges but could have been a tad spicier, you would have needed a spatula to get me out of my seat. It’s my local so you know I’ll be back.
