It’s not often that I find myself in a hairdressing salon. I’ve been fortunate that I’ve always had friends and family who are hairdressers so it’s only on the odd occasion that I’ll head to a salon. And to be honest, I always get nervous going to them as I think I’ll end up blowing a small fortune on a hair cut/colour that I don’t like. Fortunately my visit to Theory for Hair featured no disasters and I walked out with a gorgeous cut, colour and blow dry that looked hot for the wedding I was going to later that day. The service from the moment I walked in the door was professional and welcoming. The salon is designed with a gorgeous glam look — polished concrete floors, black furniture, sparkling chandeliers and silver edged ornate mirrors. You feel quite swanky in there! And another bonus is the massage chairs when you get your hair washed and that oh so good head massage. We all know the head massage is like THE best part of going to a hair salon. Of course salons always try to up sell their products while you are locked in the chair but I liked that the staff at Theory weren’t pushy about this. They politely enquired if I was interested and didn’t press further when declined. All up the visit cost me just over $ 200 which wasn’t too bad for the service. And there is a voucher for them in the entertainment book which is handy. Would I go back? Most likely, when I want to pamper myself with a salon experience again.
