Great coffee and reasonable selection of pastries and fruit for breakfast. Solid standard breakfast menu. Bit cramped for space so difficult for a large group but ideal of a couple.

2 stars for the service and opening times. But damn 6pm. I miss late night cafes. I had the coconut mango cake, dry as hell, add more mango for flavor and moisture. The coffee, better than most, but nothing to write home about. I hate food that sits in a presentation cabinet all day long, not appealing. $ 8.50 for coffee and cake, that I will never have again… these Aussie prices are killing me.

If you want to wait 15 minutes to have your order taken for a simple coffee while the waitress is busy preparing empty tables come here.

The first thing you’ll notice when you walk by would be the beautiful cakes and pastries decorating the display fridge. Then you come in and the nice Mediterranean old man behind the counter greets you with a genuine smile — now you have to order something. The breakfast menus are quite standard, but boy are they delicious! The big breakfast is huge, with perhaps a little bit too many chips, but it is absolutely tasty. My boyfriend always orders ice mochas at cafes, and Eros’ is his favorite so far, right next to the Three Monkeys’. They played Maroon 5 on repeat when we first came there, but it just couldn’t ruin the taste of the food or the nice atmosphere brought on by the super friendly staff. A definite must try if you’re a big fan of café breakfasts.

Stopped off here for Breakfast, and of course a Coffee. Along with the usual ‘egg based’ breakfasts, Eros serves up a couple of Greek Pastries(Cheese or Cheese and Spinach Filo Pies) so I had one of those. It was very tasty and made a great change. The coffee was also very well made. a great place.

Eros Café has exceptional food. The meals are rich in flavour, a good serving size and with a special twist that is hard to define. The prices are really reasonable, you can get a coffee and lunch for under $ 20. I really like the Plates, in particular the Kafta skewers and Filo pastries. I am yet to try the sweets but dessert counter looks amazing and there is certainly a few I would not mind trying.

I love the felafel plate here. It’s fresh, tasty wholesomeness(felafel balls, tabouli, pita and hummus) for a respectable $ 12.50. Most things on the menu are very reasonably priced with only a couple of items over $ 15. This authentic Greek café is run by a husband-wife team and no prizes for guessing who does all the baking. The authentic Greek sweets are also delicious and go down very well with their coffee. Perhaps Michelle(the wife) is from an Italian family because the menu boast her tiramisu, which I can report is delizioso. These guys have the sweets of the Mediterranean all covered. Sweet!

I date a Greek girl who places a strong emphasis on me knowing Greek foods. Take it from me, Eros Café does some exceptional Greek food. I had a Mediterranean Salad that was incredible. There was a party in my mouth, it was that good. The price is fairly spot on too. Not bad, considering a breakfast meal cost you about $ 12 — comes with the standard bacon, eggs, toast etc. Their coffee is also very, very good. It’s not the best in West End but it’s definitely top 5 for me. They do dinner as well, on a Friday and Saturday. They’re a café, so don’t expect much in terms of a restaurant setting. All up, great café and incredible cake.

I love love love Greek Food, and I owe Eros all the credit. This was the first Greek café I went too and now they have a customer for life. What’s great about this place is they have these amazing and cheap breakfast/brunch options here, I would strongly advise anyone to try both the falafel and kafta plate’s. (Your stomach can thank me later.) If that weren’t enough I dare you to walk past the heaving dessert counter and not order something. …I kid you not, there was a 6 month period where I bought Burmas every weekend (a mouth watering combination of rolled pastry, pistachios and syrup) but I can’t go past the Baklava(layers of filo pastry and cashew) or the Namora(semolina, flour and coconut.) Actually without sounding like a total addict, I highly recommend buying a 12 starter pack of sorts, this will give you a small introduction into the wide world of Greek sweets and give you an opportunity to suss out your favourites. Just remember that sharing is caring.
