I get seriously annoyed sometimes that my stomach can’t hold in more food. Next time I go to Pub Life Kitchen(and there will be a next time) I won’t eat for 1 week beforehand so I can get everything in my gob and be the happiest burger-eater on earth. Firstly DO get the sticky chicken wings because the marinade/sauce stuff they are cooked in may possibly involve maple syrup. For a side dish you’re looking at about 6 or so wings so I could only indulge in 1 as I had come purely for the burger. The menu is small, simple and easy and I suggest going for the Cheeseburger with fries($ 17.00) because the burger is big, the pickles are delicious and the chips are stacked up with a salty concoction I’m still dreaming about. This is a true burger with the simplest yet tastiest of fillings. The staff are friendly and the tiny old-school pub attached is a one of a kind — I really enjoyed drinking my cider after dinner out on the footpath. They also had a cheeky little whiteboard sign out the front which I lol’d about. You’ll have to go there to understand…

A small family oriented diner/pub. Very friendly staff, burgers are the best. Yet to try the Sunday roast here :)

The Gasoline Barber Shop team ate at this place and the burgers were unbelievable, the best burger joint in Sydney. We would love to return the service

Came across this place because of people raving about their burgers on Facebook. $ 17 for a burger that was good, but nothing special. It was a good average, grossly overpriced burger. The benefit is its within walking distance from my place, but unfortunately it’s situated in the middle of the public housing blocks(witnessed a fist fight between two guys with rats tails at a wedding across the street). Maybe it would be a better place if I was at the pub drinking instead? The staff were great though, they knew their job and were great to talk to. I would still give it another chance as it could of just been a below average individual experience. Will update once I return. See photo uploaded

The El Chapo Deluxe — One of the messiest burgs I’ve had. Sauce and chips flying everywhere. Decided lack of lettuce in my burger even though the PLK image had lettuce in it. not that it detracts from the flavour at all. The smashed beans were smeared on the bun so under the chicken so my bread was falling to pieces — oh well… my hands were messed up already anyway. Also something addictive about the fries! Couldn’t stop eating them. Solid. Can’t wait to go back and try some other burgers.

I can’t let PLK keep the 5 star rating I gave it. Not after last night. The service AND the food was below par.

Great vibe in this restaurant. Small but cute place. The burgers are one of the best in Sydney! They so tender. It’s only 17 $ and you couldn’t ask for more. The fries are great as well. Location is away from the busy main streets. Overall great resto.

It’s just my opinion, but … A good burger should have a bun that is only there to hold all the awesome, deliciousness in place. None of this brioche, damper, crusty stuff — soft squishy and highlighting the hero of the burger the meat! This is burger perfection and you can find it here! Ok, maybe perfection is a bit strong, but they do damn good burger here and sprinkle some sort of addictive salt on the fries so that you can’t stop wolfing them down. We came on a Tuesday -$ 14 steak night and the steak was really well cooked and delicious too. They even do kids meals AND provided a side of veggies for the kids so that I didn’t feel like I was depriving them of essential nutrients! Great place, great vibe. Definitely worth a visit.

I thought the burgers were just ok, not the best I’ve ever had in Sydney but it’s tasty enough. There were four of us so I was able to try most of the burger. My favourite was The OG. Their house made pâté was pretty good as well.

I’ll start this off simply — come here for the burgers. PLK is a cosy little nook tucked in the back of the Lord Worsley(here’s some trivia, it’s apparently the narrowest pub in NSW). Get in early or anticipate a wait for a table. The burgers are next level here, simple no fuss fare cooked incredibly well. The cheeseburger($ 17) is larger than you expect once you lay into it, no complaints here! A juicy beef patty cooked a perfect medium, with two slices of jack cheese, pickles and the most dope ketchup/mustard combo given the warmest of hugs between a delectable milk bun. Drool city. Burgers are served with fries, ask for some gravy to really up the ante. Service was great, not too stuffy and really helpful. If you love a great burger(a la Mary’s and Mister Gee’s) then you absolutely need to try this joint.

I can’t believe this place only has one review on Unilocal.I’ve visited these guys before in Fairfield west(of all places) when they had a popup a couple of months ago. When I got told they opened in the city I couldn’t be more happier. Let’s get something out there: pub life kitchen have the best burgers in Sydney, by far, no more Marys or Chur burger, pub life kitchen make the perfect burger. The burgers are so good, I would happily eat them everyday for lunch and dinner, get my stomach pumped and arteries cleaned, and do it all again. The whole structure of the burger combined with the best sauces(fucking mustard is insane) and an amazing patty(best dead cow eva) I would literally kill for. If they could somehow get the shakes back(they can’t do those because of the pub rules or something) it would be complete.

IT’S BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! For those familiar with Bill and Tony’s Pub Life Kitchen a few years ago in Surry Hills which then had a popup in Flinder’s and then another one out west… they finally have a solid location, this time in Ultimo. Known for their burgers, they also have daily specials as well on top of $ 10 lunches. All burgers come with fries and beware as the O.G. comes medium rare. The O.G.($ 18) — house ground beef, caramelised onions, tomato, lettuce, smoked cheese, homemade aioli The Cheeseburger($ 17) — house ground beef, cheese x2, pickles, onion, mustard, homemade tomato sauce The Bird($ 18) — dorito fried chicken, jack cheese, slaw, mayo They also have some new additions like sticky hot wangs($ 9). So glad this is back
