I came in on a Saturday morning at 9:30 to pick up keys to my new place, and the office was SEVERELY understaffed. One poor lady on reception trying to field calls, and handle the 4 – 5 groups waiting around while she was on the phone. The gentleman in front of me was doing the same as myself, and his property manager had lost his welcome pack with keys etc. so I had to wait while the only lady in the office looked through the whole back room, whilst also running to answer the phone 3 – 4 times in between. My pack was there thankfully, and I was out of there quickly, but they’ve really got to anticipate the level of people coming through at any one time. One poor person trying to run a whole office, answer calls and find things for people coming through just isn’t going to work! Definitely not her fault though, she was doing an excellent job, but there’s only so much you can do with one person. On another note, communication with my new property manger has been abysmal. Several unanswered emails, to rather critical questions, so I was able to move in on the right day and ensure my furniture fit, are still unanswered… Even an apology email would be welcome.

I have rented with L J Hooker Toowong since 2011 and i have never had a worse experience with any other real estate agent before. they are incompetent. they do not look after there properties well. when you contact them to let them know there is a maintenance issues they ignore you and let it get to the point where it causes damage to the property then blames you for it. They are rude and i have never met a nastier bunch of people in my life. I should of listen to all the people that warned me about renting through them as if i had of listened to those people i would of saved myself a lot of heartache.
