I just gotta give here another 5 stars, firstly because I love animals… in this place especially the likes of the koala’s and wombats… oh, and the little Devils!!., secondly because the staff we encountered were so friendly and the girl who took us round on the pre«breakfast with the koalas tour was first class. Really informative and made it all enjoyable. Shame can’t remember the name. Thirdly because the place is so well kept and cares for solely Australian animals. You won’t find any giraffes or elephants here!!! Anyway we came here at the very start of the morning before the place opens to the crowds for the breakfast with the koala’s experience. …which is exactly that you have breakfast; which is a delicious full cooked buffet; in amongst the koala’s. But sorry they don’t sit at the table with you. After the breakfast you get in and right up against the koalas for some snapshots. Before the breakfast you have a full tour of the zoo and afterwards you are free to wander around again for as long as you like. You can wander into an open area on the edge of where the kangaroos are, so they may just come up close. Overall I was really impressed and enjoyed the experience. I would never have thought you would have such a fantastic natural attraction in the city. Rain or shine, young or old… this is definitely a zoo to come visit when in Sydney.

Located in Darling Harbor, this zoo is small but very nice. I wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s located right on the wharf but I was pleasantly surprised with what’s inside. Very family friendly! When you first walk into the zoo it takes you thru a room that has lots of butterflies fluttering around. I really enjoyed that part since the butterflies liked to land on my arm. There’s a 14ft, 1100lb crocodile that was impressive since you’re able to go below the water level and view him up close swimming. There’s 5 koalas that are easy to view up close and you can pay $ 20 to have your photo taken next to one. They did an informative talk, which was very good, and answered questions from the visitors. The kangaroo enclosure is open for people to walk amongst them. You aren’t allowed to touch or feed them but you can get pretty close. Most were sleeping when I was there in the afternoon so I didn’t get to see them active at all. There’s more to see than the few things I’ve listed but in a nutshell, I thought it was worth doing since the zoo is well kept and the staff was friendly and helpful.

A very small but nice zoo. We loved how all of the animals are indigenous to Australia! The staff were very friendly! It was well laid out and we didn’t encounter any crowds!

This is a good place with lots to see, it was raining when we went so the kangaroos were hiding at the back of their place, you could still see them through the window though, and the koalas were out in the rain. They were the main things you want to see as a tourist in Oz. The butterfly enlosure was great as you can hold the butterflys. Its in Darling Harbour which is lovely place, and next to the aquarium.

A VOIRABSOLUMENT.
