Really unique options. Haven’t seen dogs like this elsewhere. Different meats to choose from. Each dog inspired by familiar entrees. I like the creativity here. The servings are heavy for the small dog that it is.

A little USA in Sydney! Yummy hotdogs as well as pretty decent chips! Not the best hot dog but certainly was a welcome surprise when I missed home!

There’s hot dogs and there’s Gourmet Hot Dogs. Snag Stand being the latter serves serious Dogs. Located conveniently in the centre of Sydney’s bustling city, they take the humble hot dogs to the next level. I like the Wagyu Beef, smooth and creamy garlic mashed potato with gravy and sautéed onions was delicious, but it didn’t scratch my ‘gourmet’ itch, I was left wanting more, maybe I’ve become a food snob. The Spicy Cheese Kransky was ordinary. The only stand out was the brioche bun, it’s so good I can eat the brioche bun as is. The best part is the chips, it’s chunky and crunchy. Dipped them in Truffle Aioli dipping sauce and you’ll feel like you’re in food heaven. Their price is almost double than your usual hot dogs. But it’s comfort food at its best!

As a visitor to Sydney, I found Snag Stand on Unilocal.Just to make it clear to others who may find it this way, Snag Stand is in an upscale food court on the 5th floor of an upscale mall. Which means it’s a nice place to sit and relax while eating in the midst of a walking day around Hyde Park. There are other good options for a meal here in the food court as well, including a rice bowl stand next door. The Wagyu Beef dog was unique and delicious — worth a try!

Great hot dogs with an awesome selection, friendly service, and fresh ingredients. BUT expensive! Tried the Beef Horseradish cost $ 10.90 and not quite enough on it’s own.

Never had a hot dog experience quite like this one. I ordered the Wagyu Beef, mom ordered the Spanish Chorizo, and my brother ordered the Chilidog. All were so delicious and extremely unique to itself. The Wagyu Beef was my favorite of the three. Although the least bold in flavor, the combination of the mashed potatoes, gravy, and sautéed onions really meshed well. The star of the hot dog was no doubt the dog as it was so juicy I would sometimes eat it without the bun. The rustic bun was also so soft and delicious, effectively soaking up all the juices from the meat and sautéed onions. The Chilidog and Spanish Chorizo were also amazing. Each tasted just how it sounds. Both were moldy spicy and the Chilidog was a mouth-watering gourmet version of your typical chilidog while the Spanish Chorizo was extravagant in flavor with the sausage bursting with Mexican spices. The brioche bun was totally awesome as well. Again, a unique hot dog experience. I’d fully recommend it to any hungry foodies out there. Gourmet gourmet gourmet hot dogs.

If you’re at Pitt Street Westfield Upper Food Court, this is a place you definitely have to stop by. Especially if you’re a fan of a good old hot dog, these hot dogs are a fantastic gourmet twist to your old fashioned frankfurter. Great variety and deliciously cooked. Staff are friendly but aren’t anything special. If you’ve walked passed this place and never smelt how delicious this place is, there’s something wrong with your sense of smell. If you’re after a full flavoured savoury fix, try the cheesy spicy chorizo with some chilli cheese fries.

Great selection of hot dogs ! I tried the Das Bratwurst hot dog. Not the best I had but once again, there are not many places in Sydney that sell hot dogs. The fries were unfortunately a little too greasy and salty. Service was very quick, despite the lunch crowd. So dont be intimidated by the long line. The wagyu beef hot dog loooooks really good, I know I will be back.

We found this place via Unilocal when on holiday in Sydney, and couldn’t believe our luck. Having not had a hot dogs in years and years due to having to avoid gluten, I was amazed to find they offered both GF buns and sausages. I ordered the classic, and some fries, and both were delicious. The staff were really friendly and overall we left feeling generally miserable that stag stand has not yet made it to NZ shores. Please oh please.

Speechless!!! I finally went with a friend to Snag Stand recently on public holiday and got to taste the awesomeness that was their dog and chips. Both of us had been meaning to come here for weeks and weeks, and I’ve gotta say, they did not disappoint! It was also the first time I was at the Westfield food court since the refurbishment, which says a lot about my current social life, but moving on! There was a long line when we arrived, and as I observed gorging on my yummy dog, the line did not get any shorter the entirety of nearly forty minutes we sat there eating and chatting. There were lots of choices on the menu, but I quickly figured out that you can first decide whether to order a set menu or not, and as we both decided to order a dog and sides separately, I ordered American Classic with chips and a sauce-they had about 5 – 6 available!-, while my friend ordered Toulouse with chips and a bottled drink, our orders were ready in no time, and as we found out the next second, we were mmmmm-ing our way through the natural thick cut chips and gorgeous dogs. For myself, who had a taste of a few real all-American hotdogs on a holiday in the USA last year, which were just heavenly by the way, the American Classic dog was exactly what I had been craving for. I’m salivating while I write this, and I know you would too. Those chips!!! Chips!!!

It could be true, sausages might be the next best thing in Sydney. The staff at Snag Stand are professional. Went on a first sausage date at the recent Unilocal 80’s Party, and the Chorizo sausage was just different. Never tasted a spicy sausage before. Then I decided to pay them a visit at their Westfield Sydney store, professional and efficient. Their chips are also okay. Their menu is diverse. I think(off hand) if you like them on Facebook you will score a servie of chips? Worth a try.

Definitely one of the best places to get a hot dog in the city… a ‘fancy’ hot dog at that! Located on level 5 in Westfield aka Food on Five, Snag Stand offers a huge variety of sausages. Sausages with different fillings from chicken, lamb, pork, beef and a veggie. They also have some amazing chips, which I really think makes this place even better. On top of that they have some great dipping sauces. At first you’re hesitant to spend $ 11 – 12 on a hot dog, but I assure you it is well worth it. I’m a big fan of the Horseradish Beef, Wagyu Beef and the Spicy Spanish Chorizo. Though lunchtime during the week can be kind of hectic, it’s well worth it in my opinion. Also no matter what… get the chips.

Totally lives up to the hype! I was hooked instantly when I had my first bite last Thursday night at the Unilocal 80’s party. The Spicy Spanish Chorizo hot dog and chips taster was divine and left such a good impression that I had to track down the store today to get another fix!

I had the ultimate pleasure of trying one of these delish doggies last night at the Unilocal 80s party. I have to admit, when I first saw that there would be snags I turned my nose up, not being a snag kind of gal. I only ever eat chicken… thats it… NO other meat. So after my moment of snag disappointment I took the time to read the menu and realised that these guys have some delicious sounding options, including chicken and vegetarian options for people like me. Score! I was dying to try the spicy vegetarian chorizo and was bummed when I didn’t see it on the menu last night but would have been completely satisfied with the chicken tropicale instead– it sounded amazing. Then low and behold I was surprised yet again when they busted out one of the veggie dogs. My initial reaction was excitment followed by momentary disappointment that I wouldn’t be trying the chicken afterall. Hey I probably could have but after stuffing my face all night I had no room left in my belly. The server warned me it would be spicy. My reaction? Perfect! My thoughts? Sheer and utter happiness. I don’t often get to try flavourful vegetarian dishes unless they come in the form of a curry so this was a real treat. The chips and aiolis were really tasty as well. I’m always really hesitant to give 5 stars– especially considering I haven’t properly been to the snag stand itself, but when I thought about it– I really had no reason I could think of to give them anything less than 5. It definitely enticed me to go give them another try to sample the other flavours– although I’m not sure my waistline would be very happy.

Hot damn was I a happy camper after inhaling the Toulouse with a side of yummy chips with aioli mayo. But alas my experience was bittersweet because back home in Arizona we have NOGOODTAKEAWAY. So I now have to add these guys to my list of cool stuff that Australia has that America doesn’t. Snag Stand definitely beats out the dual-flush toilet. I REALLY need Snag Stand to come to America, specifically to Arizona-we can give you some of our bandwidth if you’ll just let us have Snag Stand. PLEASE??? They’re located on the fifth floor food court at Westfield Mall so try to get it for takeaway if you can, otherwise good luck trying to get a seat. Totally worth it one way or the other.

I love this place. I mean, I straight up LOVE this place. I love this place so much, I head here once a week after I workout at Virgin Active at Pitt Street Mall and completely negate my workout(s) with hot diggity dog goodness. Living in America, you’re used to getting a good hot dog… here, not so much… until this place(and The Dip) came along of course. I’ve tried every dog here, and my favourites are the Pork & Fennel, Spicy Spanish Chorizo, and Toulouse.(Sorry American Classic, you don’t make the cut.) The buns(mmmm…buns) are toasted, and all of the dogs are gluten free with no artificial colours or flavours. If being healthy with a dash of guilt is your thing, Snag Stand is your place! The fries are the perfect crispness, and each of the dipping sauces are great in their own right. The worst thing is knowing you’re paying $ 10 for a hot dog… but alas, this is Australia. I’ll be here negating my workout every week.

Ok, so I don’t like to identify myself as characteristically American. I don’t watch NFL football. I don’t wear a cowboy hat as part of my daily wardrobe. I don’t weigh three million kilos. There is one thing, though, as there always is… I happen to LOVE hot dogs. Like the kind of love where I would turn down a 5-star meal, even my mother’s lasagna(which is quite good), for a delicious dog. So needless to say, when I found the Snag Stand, on the level 5 food court at the Westfield, I was very, very pleased indeed. So if you’re going to be bad, be really bad. Wave the Amurican flag and order the chilidog. This frankfurter, complete with chilli beef sauce, onions, cheddar cheese and roasted chilli peppers on a brioche roll, will get you«Yeehawing» in no time. While you’re «going for it,» order the chips, which are remarkable, and choose from the many deluxe dipping sauces. I am partial to the curry ketchup and chipotle mayo, myself. Even if someone’s going to have to roll you out of there after, I’m going to step to say that it’s oh-so worth it.

The humble hot dog has evolved into a gourmet experience at Snag Stand keeping in line with the other high-end food-court options available at Westfield Sydney. I actually think this is a clever idea, a view that is shared by the queue of people here every lunch hour. There are a multiple number of options here, with my favourites being the Chilli Dog and the American Classic. Some of the others are bit hit and miss… sounds good but the flavour doesn’t match the description. The gourmet nature of these hot dogs is reflected in the price at $ 8+, but it seems people(me included) don’t seem to mind. One of my favourites in the Westfield Sydney food-court. Give it a go :)
