O2 Bar Oxygen Station

Located in the shopping centre in Darling Harbour, the Oxygen Bar looks very surgical and professional.
When I first heard of oxygen bars, I was quite excited.
«Getting high on oxygen, you say? Fantastic!»
Too bad it is not all it is cracked up to be. To be sure, they do make every effort to make it a pleasant experience. They provide a computer and internet connection to entertain yourself with for the 15 (or how ever many you choose) minutes you’re there, and the oxygen comes in different scents! I do like the coconut scent… it’s very pleasant. They also offer you an extra 5 minutes for free if you drop by their page on Facebook and ‘like’ it!
The oxygen bar was advertised as a revitaliser, as an energy boost, as a cure for hangovers!
Aha! Lucky me, I happened to have a hangover at the time! Of course I seized the opportunity with both hands.
Alas, it was not to be. The oxygen itself appeared to do nothing for me. The nasal-​hoses with which the oxygen is administered made me look like a cancer patient, and all for nothing!
I got to surf the internet, smell some nice scents for 15 minutes… and that was pretty much it. $ 15 to smell nice smells, and go on Facebook.
I could’ve done without.
