Another great Bondi café, been around for a few years now. Serving Caribbean/Tex Mex cuisine. My favorite is the Cajan chicken sandwich on a toasted cabiatta.

Great coffee, but took a long time to get service there. Next time I will try take away. Sit down order for two coffees took over 15 mins. When we asked to change it to take away they made them on the spot.

The chorizo with scrambled eggs is the best breakfast that Bondi has to offer. There are other things on the menu, but seriously there is only one thing worth buying — the soft scrambled egg has small slices of spicy chorizo folded inside, is accompanied with a sweet tomato relish — and there is a roasted chilli on top. I’m so impressed that I cannot choose anything else from the menu — they might as well not even have a menu as far as I’m concerned!

I don’t know if Unilocal is the appropriate forum to plead for them to open up a shop in LA but I’m doing it anyway… Please please please bring a shop to us! I promise I’ll be there at least three times a week :) Lots of enticing options to choose from for both veggie or meat lovers! It seems shockingly rare to find a place that can do both so scrumptiously well. We stopped by during brunch which worked out really well since I was craving something w eggs and she wanted a burger. Really unique flavors in every bite. who knew tofu, seaweed, eggs and a clementine on a bit of quinoa could go so well together. mmmmm. Even looking at the take away options behind the glass case was tempting. Def regretting not bingeing a bit more while i was there hahaa Though there is limited seating inside, they have these great window seats, bar style that look outside… just onto the street, no fancy beach view. but still pretty cool. Sadly, we were only able to come by once cause it was slightly too far to be easily walkable but we thought about it ohhhh soo many times. sighhhh

I’m a morning person and I love a vibrant café scene, but honestly, I don’t like spending money on breakfast. I’m always more pleased with what I can make at home. Jed’s debunks my breakfast-bitterness with an eccentric brunch menu that I’d happily part with pennies for. Breakfast eggs get exciting with themes of the Yucatan, Jamaica and Japan. Colourful, creative, wholesome meals where exotic spices and garnishes bring the flavour, rather than buttery sauces and bacon fat. My kinda place.

Jed’s is a love-at-first-sight establishment. Even before biting into the perfectly poached eggs or seasoned museli, it’s tough not to be enamored by the breezy atmosphere and laid back vibe. It’s the type of place you’d assume Jack Johnson and Ziggy Marley frequent, and it’s right at home on a shady Bondi roundabout, blocks away from the beach scene. This is the Bondi that tourists don’t get to see, and everyone in the neighborhood is just fine with that. The breakfast? Fantastic. In fact, it’s currently residing at the top of my Bondi breakfast list. Not only were our dueling egg benes wonderful, but the amount of dishes that we had to pass up to decide on the benes was a challenge in itself. Add in the fresh baked goods and salads inside and choosing a dish becomes the most(and only) stressful bit of the whole experience. If you want a slice of local Bondi life, get here immediately. The fantastic food is just a cherry on top.

We went here early before heading to the beach and it was definitely the perfect way to start the day. Really good coffee, followed by the scrambled eggs with Jamaican jerk potatoes and sourdough toast — delicious. Really good vibes in the place, good music and generally a chilled way to spend a morning. Highly recommended if you’re going to Bondi, stop here first!

The food at this place is absolutely amazing! Went for a late breaky and got the Egg and Chorizo scramble… Every bite was amazing. The restaurant had a cool vibe to it. Very relaxing. And the staff was friendly. Go to this place!

Fantastic Bicher Meusli, Eggs and Chirizo, Zapatista Eggs, Coffee and service. A great taste of Bondi without the tourists. Our regular breakfast joint when down Bondi way.

I’ve been going to Jeds since it opened oh so long ago in the days of Justin and Ed… but even after all this time(well over ten years) and changes in ownership, the food is still delicious, coffee is always great and it’s a great place to chill out in true Bondi fashion. The menu has a Mexican/South American/Caribbean influence and a great variety… eggs, salads, soups, fruit, burritos, wraps, pastries… I could go on… everything I’ve had tastes great. It’s not the place to go if you’re looking for impeccable service(sometimes flagging down a waiter is frustratingly hard) or if you’re the type who isn’t ok with being a bit flexible with seating arrangements/sharing a table etc… But it’s a fantastic, down-to-earth, local café!

Love Jed’s. Great coffee. Very nice people. Almost always has good tunes playing. Really great food for breakfast or lunch but I tend to favor breakfast there. Jamaican porridge and the Acai bowl are two of my favorites along with the breakfast burrito. All the egg dishes are nice. Can get very busy on the weekends. Lots of friendly dogs outside and usually a ton of kids on the weekend. Great place.

Jed’s is a well known breakfast and brunch spot on the back streets of North Bondi, serving up their famous spiced dishes all day long. The menu has a bit of a Caribbean influence — like, with their Jamaican porridge made with lime and sugary, caramelised pieces of banana, or the poached eggs with chilli-spiked, Mexican-style beans. Their eggs are always cooked to perfection — I like the simple breakfast of poached eggs with an added side of their homemade tomato relish, and sometimes a bit of avocado. Service has been up and down in my experience — sometimes they can be a bit aloof, but on my last visit the waitress was super helpful and event let me plug my lap top into a power socket behind the counter when it ran out of battery. Sadly, the sun slips away from the outdoor tables here in favour the Organic Bakery over the road — not so fun in winter, but it’s a nice reprieve from the heat during the summer months.

I love this place, it’s all about the vibe the staff and the music. It’s a place to go to meet your mates, and chill out for hours for over a strong coffee and some interesting locals. I’ve been here so many times and I’m always surprised that I either bump into someone I know, or make a new friend for the day. Jed’s capably serves the Bondi locals with a great selection of well cooked coffee and meals. Take a breezy seat outside — seating is competitive, but rarely too long a wait, order the smoothie which is sure to put a smile on your dial, with home made syrups, and a old school milk bar feel.

It always seems like Bob Marley is pumping from this heaving pathway of tables and chairs packed with the weekenders of various demographics, today is no different. Glamour boho parents wearing babies in baby bjorns like oversized brooches, the elderly couple who just dropped in for a couple of tea unaware and pretty much carefree of the other diners around them, surfing natives who had one too many watching the live band they can’t remember at the Beach Road Hotel the previous night and then us girlfriends catching up after sometime of not seeing each other. We all order mammoth Mexican/Jamaican breakfasts to satisfy our famished selves and choose I try one of the Acai/Quai/Quinoa smoothies like I know what the potential power of the ingredients are… I consume th3 green thick gush with seeds expecting it to taste like Kiwifruit then refrain and try to work out what the heck it is? It’s a nice people watching place and the food is unique and fulfilling that’s why we always boomerang back when we come over to the east side.

Writers, actors, directors, philospophers, come gather at the café which occasionally houses Australian celebrities and wannabees. Guaranteed to see someone on a laptop writing a Screenplay, Jeds Food Store is a great place to hangout with your best friend and to shoot the breeze. Last time I visited I was blown away by the unique breakfast options — one was scrambled wasabi eggs and the other a mexican egg tortilla which included cactus… To be honest it was hard to lock down a dish because they all sounded amazing. This place is great. Dishes cost around $ 15 which seems fair… if you want to head there on the weekend make sure you get there early as its hard to get a table… Jeds is popular local eatery worthy of a discovery.
