Very rude staff member. There were no customers and I ordered a coffee by the coffee machine, where I was told they only take orders around the other side. So I asked if I shall walk around the corner and make the same order for coffee to her she looked very upset and took my money. Then didn’t return my change and when I asked, she just rudely gave me my cash bash. I thanked her and she just looked at me with attitude again. Generally the shop should thank the customer, no? So I told her she is welcome anyway :). So sorry I stood in the wrong spot coffee nazi!

I have sampled a few things from La Galette over the years and have never been disappointed. Their croissants are amazing. I have tried the ham and cheese and almond and both were great. Flakey and buttery — exactly how a croissant should be. They have really beautiful macarons and biscuits on offer as well. The service I received on the weekend was super friendly and everything is well priced.

There isn’t a thing you can buy at La Galette which isn’t breathtakingly delicious, gorgeous to look at and a tactile experience to eat. The almond croissants are the best in Perth and if you can time it so that you can get one straight off the tray out of the oven, you’ll be rewarded with an extra level of sensory experience as you bite into the sweet, alcohol scented custard centre through the crunchy, almond-speckled crust. The only downside of La Galette is that it’s a little on the pricey side. But then, most luxuries are.

Oh my, it would appear that La Galette De France can do no wrong. Set in the markets this little wonder is full of the most sensational bakery goods. The macaroons a sweet treat that I have become particularly partial to in the last few months. They have some amazing tasting crepes and a load of other French treats. If you like French bakeries this will put a smile of your dile!

Much smaller and less comfortable than their main shops around Perth, La Galette De France at the Subiaco markets still seduce you with their delicious range of crepes and waffles so if you want a quick bite to eat to gather your strengths before you fight your way to the markets expect only a 5 minute wait before you get your warm and delicious meal. For the pastries, sumptuous macarons, traditional French baguette and more, take a walk to the other side the sweet treats are waiting for you.
