Health Freak Café Scarborough & North Beach, Perth Sep 18, 2014 Excellent food!!! Average coffee. Absolutely love this café. I’ve had the kale stuffed chicken and today the Moroccan chicken salad. All excellent and full of flavour. My only complaint is the coffee needs improving! My almond milk hot latte was so bitter today, I couldn’t be bothered returning it though. It’s the second time it’s been like that. So perhaps stick to the food only! Viewed 454 times

This is definitely a breakfast place being a subi resident. I often stop her on my way to work to pick up a breakfast to go and sometime something for lunch later. But I must say there breakfast are amazing and super healthy. Staff are lovely and great service, the only reason I took a star off is because there lunches though healthy are a bit average.

Really close to the Subiaco train station which is really convenient! Good food however there was a hardly any flavour to my food(zucchini noodles). Raw desserts & energy juice was the highlight of my meal and beautiful, casual outdoor seating area. Overall an «okay» experience.

I actually didn’t get to try anything at this café… I arrived at 2.40pm on a Sunday afternoon hoping for a takeaway coffee. After being ignored at the counter for 5 minutes, I was informed the coffee machine had ‘closed’, despite the café being open until 3pm I like to think Im a fairly reasonable guy — maybe they should change their opening hours until 2pm so they can do their cleaning and get out by 3pm Furthermore, small treats(RAW food etc) were $ 5 each! I won’t be returning…

I like the idea of this place, but first impressions are a bit disappointing. I had two of the salads, and they left a lot to be desired. The colors look nice together, but there wasn’t thought given to flavor or texture, leaving them feeling more like a palate cleansing side than a meal. I don’t think you need to skimp on flavor to be healthy. Introduce some lemon, herbs, a bit more crunch, and less dependence on super watery vegetables. Not many vegan options for breakfast. Drinks look cute and are served in jars, which is a tick from me Takeaway is all plastic. Obviously focusing on health not environment Décor is ultra modern and a bit sterile, but dine in is served on a wooden board. I don’t know, I just don’t think it gels. Raw treats look super. I’ll have to come back and try some other things, but I’m not convinced so far.
