Both Ripples in St Marys and Penrith are owned by the Penrith City Council, I believe. The St Mary’s Ripples is multifunctional with gym, aerobics, spa, sauna, crèche and pools for all ages both inside and outside. The inside pool is open all year and is heated and broken up into sections for all ages. The shallowest water has a slippery dip and things that spray water, along with something that has buckets which tips to spill the water. They also have hydrotherapy in a seperate building. They also have a swimming club. Membership of the swimming club gives members free access to all swimming access. Swimming lessons are held throughout the year unlike the Penrith location which is summer only. Their teachers are good with children of all ages. Their canteen is typical of pool canteens with and the prices are reasonable. I have not tried their coffee yet. There is ample onsite park, across the road from a shopping centre, a bus stops nearby and it’s an easy walk from St Mary’s train station. About 10 to 15 minutes. EFTPOS is only available at the front counter. If you are buying lunch there, either take cash or let the canteen staff know and they will take your name, you pay the bill at the front counter then present the receipt at the canteen.
