The nice thing about Boost is that it’s not that expensive. I mean, smoothies worldwide are mostly ice, and I tend to feel gouged after paying for one. Here, they top out at $ 7 – 8, and with a rewards card you can periodically get one for free. Their menu is pretty basic; fruit juices with(only dairy-based) additives for the heavier shakes and the occasional exotic ingredient. But it’s a nice on-campus option for periodic refreshment.

Boost is boost is boost is boost. Everyone’s been to Boost Juice. We all know the general jist. Smoothies, juices and ice crushy type fruit drinks. Not the healthiest option as they do make a lot of their drinks from preprepared processed juices but still yummy. Boost at UQ is constantly busy. If you’re in a rush, skip it. Despite being students at a world class University, no one knows how to form a queue so everyone kind of groups around the small space in front of Boost. You never know who is waiting for a drink, waiting to order, waiting for a friend or just standing inconveniently in the pathway. If you’re looking for a refreshing option the Passion Mango is my favourite, with Green Tea Mango Mantra a close second. Just don’t go during ‘rush hour’ or you’ll be waiting half the day!

Friendly staff, moderately quick service. It does get busy though and that makes waiting time much longer. I have not had a bad experience here and have been back many times. I highly recommend this branch of Boost.

Where the line for boost ends is always confusing. Usually a friend will go with someone who wants to order a Boost. This clogs up the line and you’re waiting behind someone who doesn’t even want a drink. I digress. The boost drinks have been a bit more liquidy than before. I like mine pretty thick. I love getting the mango passion. My friend always gets the healthier option with just veggies. If you need a pick me up or something sweet, this is a great place to go. Just be ready to wait in line and then wait to pick up your boost. They definitely need a bigger area and to designate clearer ordering and waiting to boost areas. It would help with the flow of traffic better and decrease the lag time.

Boost is great; but I feel they ought to add some more options on the menu, and use the bigger diameter straws that the Chinese pearl tea places use.
