Definitely worst place ever!!! The food taste is not as real Latin food, the place is really dirty I found a dead MOUSE in the bar floor, they sell drinks with the expiration date passed from the recommended and the attention from the Manager is disappointed !!! It’s a shame for the Latin culture !!! DONTGOTHERE!!!

Service was poor particularly given we were one of two small tables in the place. The food and coffee exceptionally average. Would not survive in Melbourne city… or any other city really.

I should have heeded my own warnings and alarm bells going in my head when we decided to eat here. Either that, or I should have heeded the high-pitched alarm buzzer going off in Santa Ana every 5 minutes… this sound definitely set the mood for our breakfast. The staff had a pretty low care factor, and hung out by the bar while people walked in to look at a menu. The tables had the dinner menu on them, but the breakfast menus were all up at the bar. I had their«Columbian Breakfast», which consisted of 2 poached eggs, some«bacon», two Arepas, and some lettuce on the side. While the eggs were cooked to expectations, the bacon was not rasher-bacon as one would expect, and the Arepas were both dry on the outside and undercooked and rubbery in the middle. At least the coffee wasn’t too bad: a long black is a good way to benchmark the quality of the beans with the skill of the barista… he didn’t kill the coffee, thankfully. Such an unfortunate experience for a place that is located so perfectly in the centre of Acland St in St Kilda.

This place looks fantastic, very swish looking and just feels warm and inviting. The staff were really nice and accomodating except when they told us someone had booked our table for 45 minutes time halfway through our meal. Although we were well finished within 25 minutes after that, I just hate feeling rushed at restaurants and feel they were rude in this instance. Foodwise, well the cerviche was fantastic. The mixed grill was also very nice but the seafood third wasn’t grilled and just felt out of place. We also had nachos for starters which were awesome but it’s pretty hard to make a bad bowl of nachos. Everyone in our group seemed to enjoy their beers and cocktails but nothing spectacular.

Although I can’t speak for their tapas, I’ve had better Mexican food(read burritos and nachos) from fast food chains. Their dishes are uninspired, flavorless, and most definitely without the sort of food-soul I expect from South American, Mexican or Spanish dishes. They seem to seat all of their customers right by the door to make the place look fuller than it actually is, and then leave the door open, so that you freeze while you eat. And of course, they have the nice St. Kilda markup on their price tags, so its overpriced to boot.

This place has absolutely delicoius food, mix latinamerican flavors, the thing i liked most than anything is the admostphere, there’s a band of latin music that comes, singers and different ones, these people not only play but entertained and make people have fun and dance as if we’re all in a fun party(i loved it!). The owners and everybody else is very warm and welcoming. Food portions aren’t generous but everything else is awsome.

Awesome atmosphere, it was super busy when I went. They had a live band and excellent ceviche! Definitely recommend.

I been craving Mexican food since I got to Australia and I was in St Kilda visiting a friend and saw the sign outside and I got excited. Yes, Mexican food! The restaurant is very nice. Good music playing in the background. So anyway, I ordered the Ceveche Mixto and that was really good. I also ordered the Carnitas Taco. OMG! That taco smelled like vinegar when it was approaching me and it was even more foul smell when it was in front of me. Why would you put vinegar on a carnitas taco. The only thing that was on top of the carnitas was onion which looked liked pickled to me. I brushed it aside and grab my fork and poked on my carnitas for a bit. It was chewy. Carnitas are suppose to be slow roasted or cooked so when you take a bite its tender. It was chewy. Did not taste like carnitas at all. Im from California where I grow up eating Mexican food and that was nowhere close to carnitas. So disappointed :(The service actually was good. Ill pass this next time when I visit Melbourne. Maybe just for a beer next time.

Great place to go for a few tapas and a wine or beer. Had the mussels and the beef skewers and both were super tasty and delivered to the table relatively quickly. Later a band kicked in and the place got pretty damn loud, which is when I took my leave because it was almost a little too distracting. Lovely place for a quick bite.

The first time I went was just for a coffee. I loved it when the Band came in and played some really cool cuban sounding music. Loved the vibe. Service was pretty up in the cloud at times. I needed to go in twice to ask for the bill, but that didn’t bother me that much. The second time was for dinner. It was pretty decent although the beer on tap wasn’t working and some of the specials on the board weren’t actually being served. However the food was quite nice, super fast. Service was a bit odd– People just need to smile more. Suppose I’d recommend it.

Fun atmosphere and yummy sangria! I come for the sangria… but have to leave when the band gets too loud. Pleasant staff. I’ve only had dessert here, and it was pretty average(so won’t be returning for that) and the mains look huge and a little burnt. I’ll update you all if I go again. But seriously, just come for the sangria. Lovely flavour, not expensive and great location on Acland Street.
