Just had a quick snack and warm up drink on the patio. Service was really friendly and quick, the ham cheese croissant was really nicely toasted! Flat white was excellent!

There Be Penguins… but not on the menu… Walking out to this outcropping of this pier, my eyes see the gleam of Melbourne’s skyline. Before that, a harbor of recreational water crafts buoy to and fro in calm breezy St. Kilda, a township. Before that, a humble pavilion, St. Kilda’s Pavilion, to be specific, houses a quaint café of hidden riches. This is Little Blue. Beyond a warm latte, to set the mood as I ogle beyond the oceanic horizon, to only imagine that miles beyond, lies frigid Antarctica, I catch a glimpse at some enticing entreés, on the menu, that I wouldn’t have expected. I choose not to sit in the pleasant bed-and-breakfast-style kitchen nook inside, but bask in the comfortable, lightly-breezy deck patio, and stay in touch with the beauty of the wild civilization that wraps around the exterior. One of my favorite drinks of rejuvenation is the classic orange juice. Little Blue provides me with a mind-blowing, yet simple, frothy orange juice — not cold, not warm, but cool beans. To go with this memorable pulp pitcher, I partake in slow destruction of a lovely snapper fillet, accompanied by the savory tribulation into an array of ideal mussels. Connect the sights of Melbourne with the tastes of the sea, I sum up this mini, unexpected expedition as a sigh of… damn, I wish I was back there. PS. During sunset, just around back of the Pavilion, in the jetty rocks, wild penguins sprout to feed.

I had only a glass of wine. The outdoor seating was nice, and there was live entertainment, a singing guitarist. Nice touch.

Excellent location on the water at Saint Kilda Pier. We had stopped in for the all day breakfast on a Sunday morning to enjoy the spring weather. Service was quick and friendly and the coffees nicely done. I had the Eggs Royal and my wife had the eggs with sweet potato hash browns(gluten free and clearly marked). Both where excellent but the hash browns stole the show, after a taste my wife had trouble keeping me from stealing them all!

The location is lovely — on the end on the jetty. But the service(if you can call it service) was awful. The staff treated us as though they were doing us a favor allowing us to be there. They were rude and unobliging. I would never take a guest there again — the lack of hospitality is an embarrassment. I left feeling quite angry. But the views were lovely and the food was ok.
