How in the hell had I not been here before, despite living right nearby I will never know. The staff are friendly, the food is great, and it seems to just keep coming. Go in hungry! We opted for the meat banquet. No regrets. Starting out with dips, dolmades, flat breads, octopus, and the traditional fried cheese, we then moved into some serious meats. Everything was cooked great, seasoned to perfection, and was massive! Then desert hits… we found room :) Still no regrets! Topped it off with a Greek coffee. What a meal. They even took care of the kids as well — since they weren’t having the banquet. They put together a small meat plate for them to share, with a bit of salad and some chips. They absolutely loved it. When I go back(not if)… I have no doubt I will probably have to revisit this review and rate them a 5. Go here, and tell your friends too.

I was shouted to Kyma for Christmas lunch 2015. Thank god I was seated outside for lunch, for inside was loud and hot. The 4 course seafood Christmas lunch was too die for and the price per head was so, so, cheap at $ 65 per head. I highly recommend this restaurant for fine dining at such a resonable price. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and family.

Kyma is a Greek fine dining restaurant, the type with white linens, candletop tables and a menu priced to match. Its certainly more expensive than most of its northern and western suburb counterparts. The food id good here — I recommend trying the family style banquet menus for the full dining experience. Traditional Greek food offer great entrée’s, main courses and desserts, and all are well represented here. We enjoyed the seafood and meat banquet, which was the most expensive, but was absolutely delicious and left us rolling ot of the restaurant. I love me some Saganaki, and the mixed meat platter was to die for. Definitely worth a try, and if you are celebrating something and want to splash out a little this may be the perfect place for you. The service was impeccable in my experience.

Kyma isn’t the kind of restaurant I normally go to(i.e. the cheap kind). Chances are you’re looking at about thirty to forty dollars per person per course. More if you go the seafood. Which, honestly you should probably do. But I ended up there last time my brother was in town, out with him and a bunch of his doctor friends, celebrating them finishing a round of exams. And it was nice. We shared a few meat platters and a few seafood platters between us, and they were tasty. Tasty enough to justify the money? For me, probably not. But then I’m a poor struggling writer man. You may find it a worthwhile investment

The best Greek food this side of the city! I have been to Kyma three times and have loved every experience. The restaurant is traditionally decorated with elegant white table cloths, stunning glassware and soft inviting lighting there are tables both inside and out so you may choose depending on weather. The menu is very authenitc Greek cuisine, there is so much to choose from and everything is fantastic! The banquets are a really great option as they allow you to sample quite a few different signature dishes over the one night. I have two favourites at Kyma, 1. Kalamari sta Karvouna — charcoal grilled calamari with lemon, you are served the entire squid and it has been cooked to perfect very tasty and tender. 2. Octapothi sta Karvouna — grilled octopus the tenticles are very large but the marinade in this dish is incredible. The staff are very friendly and welcoming always happy to have a laugh with you, Kyma is a favourite for me dining in St Kilda definitely recommend if you are after an authentic Greek experience.
