Spring Hill Deli

Spring Hill Deli is the Kanye West of cafes — that’s right folks it’s officially the GREATEST CAFE IN THE UNIVERSE (GCITU for short). I love this place, from high quality ingredients to a perfectly thought out menu with great staff and a cool vibe thrown into the mix.
The smoked salmon with avo and labna on house made bread is giving me heart palpitations just thinking about it. The bread was super fresh, filled with seeds and had a delicious crunchy crust. The smoked salmon was not shaved like you’ll find in other places it’s large chunks of salmon that I’m told is from a local supplier. The amount of avocado you get is insane and everything felt so wholesome.
Coffee was also really good — not blow your sock off coffee but definitely above average.
Vegetarian options available and the juices are fresh and yummy.
I’m going to become a regular here as I’ve not had such a great breakfast in a long time. Get on it!

Came in for tapas dinner last night however it was unfortunate that they’ve decided not to continue with tapas each Thursday night. Still, the dinner menu looked appetising majority of which were vegetarian dishes, which my vego friend was elated about.
Whilst it took a bit of time for our order to be taken, you can’t fault the friendliness of the wait staff and the food came out pretty quickly once we’d ordered. My companion received the sweet potato salad which was served with feta and was a massive serve. I’d decided on the eggplant parmigiana with side salad which was cheesy and delicious!
We were extremely happy with the evening apart from the music. We didn’t think the muso with his acoustic guitar added anything to the ambience. In fact, it was hard to have a conversation as he was rather loud. Perhaps if it was a tapas night with Spanish tunes, it would’ve given the atmosphere a lift. In this case, it was just odd and misplaced. A tad annoying, even.
Hopefully Spring Hill Deli finds itself a niche for their dinner nights and focus on what they do best — good food!

I ordered the pumpkin soup and did i get my moneys worth or what! Great serving portions, comes with really yummy bread. I would highly recommend this place.

The coffee was very good, and the eggs Benedict were yummy and the serving was generous. You won’t find a better value breakfast in Spring Hill.

This is becoming my favourite breakfast place on the weekends. The meals are tasty and well sized. The coffee is great (Cup coffee) and friendly staff.
Should you wish to brush up on your cooking skills, they run classes during the week.

Small café tucked in Spring Hill. Lovely place with great food & coffee. Belgian waffles is yummy. Servers are really friendly anf courteous. Will definitely be back after this visit!

There’s a sign on the wall that says «We don’t serve fast food, we serve good food as fast as we can.» And that is comforting in an age when it seems like food is delivered to your table so swiftly it couldn’t possibly have been cooked fresh to order.
Brisbane breakfast options have been slowly disappointing me and my weekend breakfast adventures have been carried out less and less in various cafes in favour for cooking at home. However, when my other half recently said, «Let’s go out for breakfast. You pick.» I was reminded of Charlotte H’s review of Spring Hill Deli and her excitement over the breakfast there.
No guessing where we ended up? And thankfully Charlotte H was spot on. I ordered the Mediterranean Eggs (two eggs, pesto, dukkah, spinach on sourdough) and he ordered the Bruschetta. Our coffees arrived shortly after menus were placed down for our perusal.
So relaxed and enjoying the homely atmosphere created, we stuck around for another coffee before leaving for a day of soaking up an Autumn day in Brisbane. Spring Hill Deli has been the instigator in restoring my faith in café breakfasts. The menu items themselves aren’t anything unfamiliar and what makes them stand out is the fact they take simple ingredients and focus on cooking and presenting them well.
Parking is limited around the café — even on a weekend — so consider taking public transport or parking a little further away and taking a stroll through Spring Hill (a stroll worth it for the house porn).

Best and most delightful Breakfast in Brisbane!!!
You know something is rocking your world if your still thinking about it 3 days later. This is hands down the best breakfast I’ve had in 2 years.
On arriving we were really impressed by the humble nature of this place. The staff were friendly and normal and were not at all fazed by my eclectic coffee order. The coffee was refreshingly delicious. There are books stacked up everywhere to read so its the perfect place to ease into your weekend.
I ordered the baked eggs with herbs and goats cheese and my partner ordered the eggs Benedict w/​bacon. We actually ordered another side of bacon to share because usually bacon is skimped on. Well that was a mistake! The portions were HUGE… My baked eggs came with 3 pieces of melt in your mouth buttered sourdough and the Eggs Benedict was double the portion of usual in cafes. All of the produce was of good quality and it was really well thought out food. Delicious, Mouth Watering & amazing. Made my day if not my whole month!
Breakfast came to $ 45 all up so pretty standard. But just to die for! Will be back.

Wide selection of meals, everybody will find something they like!
Staff is super nice and very helpful and they are more than happy to bring you more (and more, and more) coffee.
Prices are very reasonable, and food is delicious!
They have wide variety of tables, from big ones that will fit all your friends, to a Counter-​Type-​Ones if you come alone.
They also sell their produce there, so if you fall in love with jams they make, you can get it right there!
I’ve been there twice, and will definitely come back (that time ‘I-​manage-​to-​get-​out-​of-​bed-​earlier-​than-​noon-​on-​the-​weekend’…)!

When this cute little shop front was painted bright red and the word DELI appeared above it, I waited with anticipation for it to open its doors. One day, fresh flowers appeared on a barrow out the front and Spring Hill Deli was finally open. This is a really good location for a deli, because unlike New Farm or the Valley, Spring Hill was a bit lacking in deli produce.
Spring Hill Deli is only small. Their small, cottage-​style shop only has a certain amount of room and for that reason they’ve had to be very selective about their stock. In my opinion, this is a good thing. True, there may not be every brand or every product, but you’ll find the best of the best and every product in here has been consciously chosen.
Their chilled cabinet is full of olives, cheeses, and deli meats and the fridges at the side contain delightful yoghurts, dips, and homemade sauces. The jars of preserved fruits, pickles, and condiments that line the walls are a showcase of the many wonderful, local brands that are thriving in delis and organic produce stores these days.
A wonderful and much-​needed addition to lovely Spring Hill.

A decadent and delightful den of deliciousness. Any place that sells olives, cheese and chocolates of weird and wonderful flavours is a winner in my books. I must say though I was disappointed with the state of some of the fruit and veg. The mint looked as though it had been sitting there for days, wilting in self pity.
This deli is small and intimate, but a great addition to the otherwise rather stale area of Spring Hill. Pop in when you get the chance if you’re after some epicurean edge!

Two people sat on a couple of small stools outside the red exterior of the Spring Hill Deli and Produce store. I Stopped and followed the smell of fresh coffee beyond the doorway. Inside I found a unique specialty store.
The front half of the store was dedicated to fresh fruit and vegetables, hung up in baskets ready to be bought. Throughout the rest of the inside specialty chocolates and other unique delicacies lined the racks and shelving.
Displayed at the front counter a range of fresh salads and sandwiches that I could tell were made in store. I ordered a coffee a while I was waiting the lady behind the counter asked me about my day which turned into a very comfortable conversation.
When I was given my beverage, we thanked each other and I walked out the door, feeling I should have bought something else. But just like the conversation I just had there was no pressure just great friendly service.
There should be more places like this.

Spring Hill Deli and Produce is a gem. It opened up earlier this year and seemed to find its feet quite quickly — within weeks of its opening I’d see locals and office workers dropping in for a coffee, or a sandwich (lunch can be eaten outside on the wooden stools), or just a friendly chat with the staff. I often pop in for fresh goods, cheese and coffee. You can even get olive oil refills here too.
The staff are all incredibly nice and considerate — the other day my brother’s boyfriend strolled down for a coffee but the barista was off on her break. When he went back the next day, they still felt so terrible about what had happened and gave him a chickpea salad — still very fresh (!) — that a customer had returned because of the cracked container lid. It was a really lovely gesture and he was taken aback, in the best possible way, that the event still played on their minds.
With its bright red sign, quaint interior, and wheelbarrow parked out front, the deli looks like it’s been helicoptered from New York and dumped in the hub of Spring Hill.
They sell flowers too — beautiful daffodils that unfortunately wither as the sun beats down on Boundary St. I’d definitely recommend snapping up a bunch, as well as some of their home-​made baked goods. You won’t be disappointed.
