On a hot summer afternoon in Melbourne, we stopped by Trampoline in South Bank for some ice-creams. We ordered a Sundae and customized it with our choice of 4 different flavors. Our choices were salted caramel popcorn, white chocolate raspberry, berry and cheesecake. They ran out of caramel fudge, so used chocolate fudge instead. The sundae was topped with crunchy nuts. They ran out of cream as well. All the ice cream flavors were absolutely delicious and I loved the chocolate fudge as well. I would have doled out 5 stars if only they had the caramel fudge and the whipped cream. But the ice creams themselves deserve a solid 5 stars!

By far the best option for Gelato and sorbet along Southbank and the Yarra. Bypass the sub par offerings at the establishments at Crown and make a beeline for Trampoline. The best value can be gained by choosing the sundaes where you select 3 flavours and get warm chocolaty fudge with nuts and whipped cream. I can feel my thighs growing just thinking about it. An equally good idea is the Little Tacker version which replaces the cream and nuts with smarties in a slightly smaller cup. The flavours are diverse and often incorporate seasonal favourites such as Easter Egg and Christmas Pudding. There are also Aussie icons like Lamington. My long time favourite is the spotty dog. Gluten free options are also available as are birthday cakes, shakes and take home tins of gelato/sorbet. The store at this location is a bit hectic and the seating area is often in disarray, not great feng shui. My tip is to take your treat to the side of the Yarra and enjoy it there as you watch the world go by. Or even better yet take a stroll along the river and eat as you go, in an attempt to burn off some calories at the same time!
