I thought it’d be cool and have a surprise date night here for my boyfriends birthday week celebrations. Boy it did not disappoint! Going back to our youth and playing games we enjoyed as a kid. Moose hunting(not for any animal activists), hoops, air hockey, motorbike races, the list goes on… I had a Entertainment voucher where if I put $ 15 on a card I would be given an extra $ 15 in credit, that made it more worthwhile or else it would be expensive, especially if you’re into getting tickets to claim prizes. 1.5 hrs of playing and we received 122 tickets which was 3 tickets under from getting a stress ball. We didn’t end up getting anything because we didn’t want any more clutter at home. Wouldn’t go here too often but that old chance you do go, it’s a lot of fun!

Galactic Circus is seriously awesome. I can’t believe I’ve lived in Melbourne for nearly two years without checking it out earlier. I went on a Wednesday night and it was basically empty, which was great because there were no lines for any games. I went with a colleague after work and we each purchased a one hour $ 20 game card, which allows you to play all of the arcade games and a very small selection of games that give prize tickets. For $ 25 you can get a two hour card, and after playing games for an hour I seriously regretted not getting one — the time just slipped away! I only went to the arcade part so I can’t really vouch for the bowling or laser tag, but the arcade staff were friendly and helpful and we had a pretty great time. I’d highly recommend going here to blow off some steam after work. I’m sure that there are grander arcades in the world, but for what it is I feel like it’s top notch.

Galactic Circus is located inside of the crown entertainment complex. It is a timeless arcade full of games and activities for all ages and interests. Machines include, racing cars/motorbikes/horses, shooter games such as point blank, time crisis and house of dead, whacking of animals & spiders, physical games such as big bertha and basketball games. Majority of the traditional arcade games dispense ‘tickets’ which can be traded in at the desk for prizes big and small. There are also plenty of coin machine games, where one inserts 20c and hopes it off balances the machine causing it to spill out many many more 20c coins. Galactic circus is an indoor interactive theme park. Aside from the arcade games, there is also an M9 laser skirmish and kingpin bowling here too! Great for after dinner entertainment.
