The outside and inside of this place looks great, really done it up well. Coffee was nice and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to getting orders done quickly for lunch rush. I had the gnocchi and it just seemed to be lacking a little flavour, but wouldn’t need much to make it a great dish!

A lot of the cafes here close earlier than I’m used to, but Urban Provedore was still open AND serving food! I decided to get the breakfast pan, but it was ok. I think there should have been more seasoning. It was also very oily, but because of the charred bits on the bottom of the pan, it was hard for me to soak it up with the toast. However, the service is great here! Everyone was super friendly, and there’s even free WiFi! It’s also a very cute space with artisanal edibles to buy and take home.

Another newbie around Chapel. I can see Urban Provedore becoming quite popular as they’ve got a great selection of produce on the right wall as you walk in the door. I was just having a look around for a good ten minutes. You can tell they’re new though. I was waiting 15mins or so for a coffee. Didn’t especially worry me though as I was in no rush and the coffee was pretty decent. Interesting thing was that I noticed half the coffees they pumped out had latte art and the other half didn’t. A whole lot of plain foam came out and then BAM… one of the best cappuccino latte art I have ever seen. Really puzzled me. The staff are great and easy to chat to. The main guy who took my order was happy as anything and just seemed like a top bloke in general. This place goes on my list of brunch destinations. I’ll be back again soon.

Went for brunch this morning at the newly opened Urban Provedore. They are still working out some kinks(i.e. need to set up a system for a waiting list — especially given the constant queue), and will no doubt be fine-tuning some of the menu items, but on the whole it was very good. Friendly staff, really excellent coffee and generally tasty food. I especially liked the forest mushroom salad(with caramelised nuts and a generous amount of fresh goat cheese… yum!). I also appreciated that food came quickly but not TOO quickly(who wants a rushed brunch??). So, while it didn’t blow us completely away, it is certainly deserving of a solid four stars. The interior is modern and almost feels a bit Scandinavian — lots of wood and open space. And if you’re not after a sit down meal, you can always grab a coffee or sandwich or dessert to go. You can also pick up plenty of local items, like Mt Zero olives, lentil soup mixes, etc.
