What a great place for a family meal. Bookings are essential! This place came recommended by friends and low and behold, we walk in the door and spy two other families from school. It does change over in the early evening to the ‘sans kid’ crowd so don’t worry. The food was terrific. We split a pizza with salami, sun dried tomatoes etc. and it was amazing. The kids enjoyed some pillows with enough leftover to take home. It’s an intimate affair. You can sit and watch the guys make the pizza base from your table. It’s easy to understand why people like this place so much.

Really great wood fired pizza that’s fresh and tasty. The quality ingredients make for a(kinda) healthy meal. Friendly staff provide a nice local village atmosphere. The pastas are really generous but I usually opt for the pizzas that feature fresh shaved ham or prosciutto.

Hands down the best pizza in Melbourne, nae the world. I’ve been here more times than I can remember. Staff are great, service is fantastic. Food awesome and priced just right. Not the usual overpriced Melbourne restaurant. It’s BYO for wine and their beers are all priced 6 – 8 bucks so no problems there. I suggest you phone ahead to book a table as it’s always busy, always! The dropping by tactic for a table doesn’t work that often. Try the Mexican pizza and the tiramisu for desert. You won’t be disappointed !

Yep! Pretty good, drawing crowds and wining with locals for years now. It’s quite common for this place to be packed from the get go, full of families and lotsa noise. Fratellino is also very booking dependent. Great range of super tasty pizza’s but Il Tram down the road outdoes it, and they’re usually quieter which is a surprise. Basic range of beers and wine, and probably recommended to Byo something nice in, a good wine at that. Food is great, atmosphere is loud busy and pumping. Worthy in my standards of great pizza anyday. Good choice.

This is an awesome pizza place! Have been a couple of times now, and each time I’m impressed with the food and the atmosphere. Recommend the Hawksburn pizza and also the Greek salad — huge chunks of feta — yum! Fratellino’s does take away also, and the restaurant is BYO which is a huge plus!

Coming from New York and in the mood for good pizza, hubby and I did a little net research, staying close by we thought we ‘d give Fratellino a try. Entering the casual and simple but bustling little restaurant without expectations we were seated immediately. When it comes to pizza we place alot of emphasis on the crust and we agreed Fratellino did a good job all round, however, another 30 seconds in the oven so the crust was crispier and even a little browner would have brought it closer to perfection. Hubby was a little disappointed as he thought they were on the cusp of something good but felt the pie was slightly undercooked(that’s what you get from foreigners). The toppings were good, we had a mixed pie, half with artichoke, mushrooms et al. I think we’ll return and give it another shot, can’t fault the flavours or dough — hopefully the next one will be cooked a little longer.
