Aldi continues to surprise me! I am not sure if its all their imported goods or the fact that you can buy a TV after you finish selecting your cereal but they definitely have me hooked. Products just look better here, they are more appealing and they almost seem to have more flavour. I only purchase packaged goods here and the occasion bottle of wine or two at amazingly discounted prices. They also have this amazing coconut and white chocolate which is like nothing i have ever tasted!

Oh how I love Adli. I always manage to save a bucketload of cash when I shop here. They have some good non food items too. I picked up a half decent slow cooker for next to nothing. Another thing I love about Adli is their meats. Their roast beef tastes unbelieveably delicious, and their mince is a really good buy too. And of course, I can’t go to Aldi without getting some of their chocolate. I prefer the 300g block in the blue wrapper.

I was super excited when I heard that ALDI was coming to Melbourne. The prices are undeniably awesome, but the thing I really enjoy here is the novelty factor. The obscure European brands are usually half the price of the Aussie versions, and just a whole lot more fun. The dodgy spelling, strange flavour combinations and obscure packaging are equally delightful. ALDI offers up some serious gems. Blocks of fair-trade organic chocolate are only $ 2. Vizka brand vodka is only $ 24. The range might not match your Coles and your Woolworths, but really, who needs 250 brands of cereal to choose from.
