I dined here for my birthday and really enjoyed it. We have been holidaying in Somers forever, so it’s nice to discover good food beyond the SGS and Balnarring. I had the salmon with roasted kipflers and a beetroot leafy salad and roasted capsicum sauce, all of which was delicious. My father had the duck flaky wrap with broccolini, which was extremely tasty, while my daughter was very happy with her kids menu steak and chips, although the charring was probably a bit mature for the average child. We drank a Pier 10 Chardonnay which was crisp and excellent, and for dessert we agreed the panacotta with poached pear slices and blackberries(picked off the hedges spotted out back?) was divine and worth travelling for. We finished with an excellent afogato with baileys and vanilla ice cream, and a piccolo macchiato. The service was very professional and we definitely recommend Pier 10 to families wanting a welcoming atmosphere with a bit of sophisticated spoiling for parents who are happy to whip out the credit card.

The service, the food, the smell of the pine trees, Pier 10 is worth the hour and a half drive from Melbourne. The moment you walk in you’re treated like royalty, well not royalty but you’re treated very well. The menu is small, but good, like really good. I had the duck ham and eye fillet. I can still taste it as I type this review. There was a good vibe and ambience in the place, I didn’t want to leave. The wine was great. I should’ve bought a couple of bottles to take home. I didn’t cause I know I’ll be back to buy them then. Highly recommend.

This little gem is like the sparkle in the Mornington Peninsula’s eye. A beautiful winery with a restaurant and cellar door with spectacular views over the vineyard down to rolling paddocks and finally a glimpse of the ocean. The wines are brilliant and not limited to the locally grown grapes like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as they also produce a Shiraz from grapes grown in Heathcote and a Yarra Valley Cabernet. They have about four different sparking wines to top off a very impressive line up. The restaurant is pretty special with an evolving menu from a wonderful chef. Do yourself a favour and try it out.
