When I stumbled across this Cost Less Plants, I hadn’t heard of the business before, but apparently there are several around Adelaide. This one doesn’t look too inviting at first, with a plain carpark and two guys playing in forklifts out the front, but when you got through the smallish shop inside the shed, you’ll find a huge land of greenery out the back. They sell many Australia-friendly shrubs, groundcovers and flowering plants, as well as a few more exotic types for green houses. What impressed me most about this place was their range of year or so old fruit trees. I wish I had the space and time for an orchard! And a hot gardener to look after it… Since that’s not going to happy, I must make do with herbs. And herbs they do. They’re now happily planted in my half wine barrel, and getting looked after with instructions from the business owners. They’re really friendly guys, who look more like tradesmen than anything, but who have a soft spot for the business cat, Blobby. Blobby spends a lot of her time lying on the fake grass of the counter, looking oh so relaxed. She’s gorgeous. There’s a lot of character to this place, when you come in to discover it. I’ve found myself a new go-to gardening supplies spot.
