I dig that there’s still dingy old pubs still kicking along inner-city, but the 2 stars here is more for the crowd, which the past few times I’ve popped in for a drink has been of the super-messy, borderline aggressive variety. Pretty bogan-ish. Probably great for watching footy in winter. In summer though, there’s so many other options around Richmond to enjoy.

Great local pub, proper old school pub that I love. Good beer, friendly service & old fashion pub parmas!

A Monday night haunt for my boyfriend and his soccer team, I went and checked it out on $ 12 parma night. There were 6 parmas to choose from(traditional, bolognese, meat lovers, Hawaiian, Mexican and egplant) with side options of chips or veges. When they arrived, they were all as big as our faces — as parmas should be. Across our table of 6 I think we tried nearly all the options. We all left VERY full and equally satisfied.

as far as crusty old pubs with good grub in richmond get. this is one of the best out of that genre that has been done up to keep yet still stay true to its roots

Great name — always raises eyebrows — good pub food(and plenty of it), and, as a male friend has enthusiastically commented, ‘this place seems to attract hot women’. A good place to watch the footy, or an election if that takes your fancy, and the bands are open to requests. Given they are often just centimetres from their audience, it’s not like they have much choice though…
