From the outside Mei Zai can look a little intimidating with its large exterior and massive glass display windows. In fact, the sheer extent of the showroom is a little daunting. But step inside and you’ll discover why so many people love it. That being said, it is for the serious home owner who has a good level of disposable income.
Inside, there are a vast number of rooms to explore, with a wide range of furniture from contemporary to eclectic, luxurious to recycled. It also stocks a huge range of décor items from vases to bookend to cushions in every imaginable shape, colour and size to beautiful home scents and statement-​making pieces.
I remember thinking to myself that when I could afford it, I would definitely be back to get the recycled timber furniture from D-​bodhi and a host of other really cool things. But till then, I will dream of that day.
