I work around the corner from this joint sometimes and, though there’s plenty of other restaurants around, I settle for this a fair bit mostly because it’s easy. They do this thing where you can buy skewers and rice and kind of put them together into a meal type situation yourself. They have some pretty weird(in the West anyhow) organ skewers of hearts and livers and shit. I’m too much of a pussy to go for that, so I usually go for the basics. And the basics here are totally basic. They kind of reduce their meals down to core parts and don’t get too inventive with it. Their stir fried beef on rice is exactly that, beef and rice, with not much else. Many of their ‘dishes’ feel slapped together, so I reckon it’s better to make up a meal with a few skewers and some fried rice on your own. It’s pretty plain, but passes on some levels.
