Good little Italian restaurant with great gluten free options. I came with my sister who is allergic and we shared a few gluten free pizzas. The bases were crunchy and firm and you couldn’t tell they were gluten free! The octopus salad was a great way to start the mean off. BYO as well which is always great!

Excellent food, really bad service. I dined here with friends recently on a Friday night and the service was really bad. We had brought our own wine but we struggled to get a glass to drink it out of. We waited probably 10 mins for glasses before having to get the attention of a waiter, no easy task. We ordered two pizzas and a pasta dish, the pizzas arrived first and straight away we found a hair baked into one of them so we called the waiter over and it was taken away and a new one was produced shortly after. We were still waiting for our pasta dish at this stage so had to ask them to check on that which then arrived another five minutes later. When it came time to paying the bill they tried to explain that the hair had come a mushroom which seemed very hard to believe as it was very long. No adjustment was made to our bill to account for us having to send food back. I have eaten here several times and the food does not disappoint but the unfortunately the service does.

Made in Italy! Not really… They got pizza, pasta alright! But it doesn’t taste that authentic. The tiramisu we ordered was kinda soggy, and felt like it was premade and have been sitting in the fridge for hours. Overall, the service is okay.

Great pizzas; my favourite is the Calabrese with anchovies. Absolutely wonderful staff and service. We take our daughter here regularly and she loves it, especially the Nutella calzone. Basic but reasonably priced wine list. Recommended.

I used to work nearby, so we ordered pizzas and pastas from Made in Italy many times for our team lunches. The pizzas are full of flavour, fresh ingredients, thin crust just the way I like it. Pastas are also generous portions and the carbonara is highly recommended — creamy and probably not the best for the waistline, but definitely a party for your taste buds. Delivery is quick and prompt and prices are affordable — definitely a good option if you’re around Pyrmont area.

Our favourite pizza in Sydney. Only if Made in Italy is closed would we order Crust pizza or Dominos. The pepperoni’s are spicier than most pizza places, the bases are nice, thin and crisp and the ingredients are all fresh. The pastas are top notch too(bacon carbonara is a fav) And of course, all the staff are literally italian.

And friend of mine told that every time he walks past this place that it smells amazing. Just had a pizza here and it was as good as it tastes. It is reasonably priced for freshly made pizza. I will come back here again. Just a warning, this is in an alley way, so you are literally sitting on the street. If you are looking for atmosphere this is not the place for you. However, if you want good pizza come along!

Ridiculous pizza. I like thin crust pizza but this was paper thin and over baked making the dough crispy and dry. I was expecting something much better. Take a look at the picture to see what I mean.

i mainly order pizza from Made in Italy and it seems to be the best so far. consistently good and have not found a pizza i did not like here. they have a large selection of pizzas for every type of person. meat lovers to vegetarians. they also have great pastas here as well for takeout/delivery. friendly staff and make great suggestions if you’re not too certain on what kind of pizza you want. prices are fair as the pizzas are quite large. much better option rather than the normal big name delivery places. one of my favorite pizza places in Pyrmont if not the city.

A stroll around Pyrmont always ends up in me passing this restaurant at some point. Every time, there are a mere few tables not occupied with patrons gorging on thin-crust pizzas, fresh pastas, and other Italian plates. My friend and I sat in the outdoor seating area, which is large but packed tight with tables. Our waitress was Italian and very genuine, especially when she was making suggestions for which pastas go with which sauce. «The fettucine with the bolognese, spaghetti with the carbonara» etc… I actually opted for the fettucini with the carbonara sauce since I much prefer fresh to dry pasta. After a basket of fresh garlic bread, we all received our dishes. My carbonara was heavy and silky, dotted with shredded bacon and smothered with a creamy sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and is reasonably priced at $ 18. There were other customers at that were wearing Italian, a testament to the delicious homemade cooking at Made in Italy.

Made In Italy is a popular little restaurant located in Miller Street Pyrmont. In fact it was so popular but little that a much bigger ‘Trattoria’ opened up only about 50m away! The original still stands though and caters for take-away, coffee’s or something sweet. Heading that extra 50m is worth it though as there is plenty of pasta and pizza dishes to choose from. And they all look and smell great. So great that we had to share it all around between the table. If you’re a traditionalist, you’re well catered for on the menu although those willing to break with tradition can sample something from the ‘gourmet’ section. Just make sure you try something. You’ll be happy you travelled that extra mileage!

This oversized dining establishment has provided me with the compulsory coffee before work for a nearly a year. What lured me in was the giant tubs of nutella on display in the windows. I’m a bit of a chocolate freak so it wasn’t surprising. The bubbly waitress, Federica, was up for a chat and kindly offered some baked ricotta cheesecake to try. Pieces were sliced up for customers to sample whilst they wait for their morning coffee. A genius marketing ploy. It worked as I purchased a piece to take home. Their cakes are exquisite. The walls of Made in Italy are adorned with Italian paraphernalia and Federica has that European generosity and interest that makes you feel you are in a little village overseas. I’ve always wanted to try dinner there or lunch and sample their beautiful Italian wine list. They are known for their authentic pizzas and also offer takeaway. A treasured addition to Pyrmont.
