Disappointing coffee. Very bitter. Service was average and it was quite expensive. Go to Babble or oscar cooper for better coffee.

Friendly lads and good coffee. Don’t really need to add much more. Knocks anything within walking distance out quality wise and versus Market Lane just across Commercial Road you can sit and enjoy some decent tunes without it being completely manic on a weekend. Drop by!

This place has by far the best coffee in the Greville street precinct. It is a tiny space tucked away but oh such a gem. The staff are awesome and they offer some super delicious pastries to go with your coffee if you are in the mood for one.

Another mad genius leaves his mark on my soul. The coffee is made with an attention to detail and tastes amazing. The organic lunch rolls are $ 10 and go down a treat when they are available. You will enjoy the coffee so much you will want to fight the rambunctious fellow who runs the show. Do not be alarmed, this boisterous feeling is simply a sign that you are human and have such a fierce passion for your coffee that you don’t mind rubbing just the tip of your shoes up against the inequitous mix of the soulless South Yarra entitled and those wilfully exploited in their quest to join their ranks.

Five Stars? I don’t think so. Sure the coffee is fine but there is equally good coffee on offer in many other places in Melbourne that don’t use Axil Beans. Being on a ‘No Sugar’ regimen I didn’t sample the pastries, which I admit looked tasty, but for an establishment that limits itself to coffee and a few pastries I can’t help but think 5 stars is a bit over the top. I think it’s worthy of 3.5 — 4 stars, and seeing as I can’t add half a star I’m happy to let 3 stand alone and perhaps take a little gloss of the overall rating.

To the uninitiated, Pardon appears to be nothing more than a well lit hole-in-the-wall off Greville Street. You’d never know this café is serving up THE tastiest coffee in Prahran with some of the best baristas. The sister café of Cup of Truth in CBD, Pardon delivers nothing but the highest quality coffee: Axil Coffee beans for the standard cup and Jonesy’s milk. This micro-size café doesn’t have space for a kitchen, but in addition to the badass brew you can still get Matt Forbes pastries and some bagels and sandwiches after 10:30am. Owners Courtney and Jon always offer up a friendly word and a glass of water while you wait. Doubting whether Pardon really serves up the best brew on the block? The truth is in the cup.

Wow! Yet another great café that Chapel Street has to offer. It is situated on the walk from Prahran station to Chapel and is directly across the road from Obese Records. I can see is being a quick stop for many on the way to work, much like its older sibling Cup of Truth in the city. The coffee here is superb with the beans coming from both Axil and Seven Seeds if I’m not mistaken. I’ve been wanting to give this place a go for a little while now and what better day than today. Pardon supplied me with my very first Cold Drip of the season and boy did it go down a treat. Summer is going to see me spending a little fortune on these icy masterpieces. Great staff here, Jono was happy to chat about the blend and about the business in general. They had awesome deco inside making a great spot to sit back and relax. This might just be my new favourite of the area. Not quite sure if it quite stands up to Market Lane but it sure does put up a fight.

The ticket for coffee around the Greville St. area. The boys here know their stuff and are serving amazing cups of coffee alongside the infamous Matt Forbes pastries. Whether you’re just grabbing a coffee on the run or want to hang out and get an education in all things caffeinated, Pardon is an awesome new addition to the area.

What was that you said? Pardon? Yes, Pardon you and Pardon me. Pardon is the sleek, grown up sister of the Cup of Truth, with the coffee being delivered lovingly by Melbourne barista of the year Courtney and the man that needs no other introduction, other than he’s textbook, but also known as Jono. And can dish up a delicious coffee. Unlike CoT, Pardon has room to sit down and enjoy your coffee, or watch the world go past in the window. You can #treatyoself with Matt Forbes sugary goodness and a some small sandwiches. If you like a chat, an amazing coffee(from the likes of Marvell St) and a gnome welcoming you inside, then Pardon if your new favourite place in Prahran.
